fight for yourself. fight for your rights. fight to change life for others. if you aren’t alive you are passive to their evil

i know that it feels like you try and try and nothing bad happens but you can make a difference. every voice counts.

write local politicians. if you have time, go to city council meetings. local politics is so important and so much more disregarded by communities.

peacefully protest. they aren’t worth our fists. it sucks that we have to be so much better than them when we’re given so much less, but that’s just how it is. prove that you’re better, more mature, kinder, tougher, and smarter.

this is horrifying. i know it is. but anything can happen at any time. never stop speaking out about injustice and never stop feeling angry

but in the midst of all this anger and frustration and worry, there is still hope.

the first trans congresswoman and the first korean american congressperson were elected yesterday! congratulations to them!!! this is such a huge feat and i hope this allows more people to feel inspired to speak up about politics. you can accomplish anything. no matter your background.

but beyond politics, there is hope in the love that you see every day. look at birds cuddling together for warmth, look at elderly couples walking each other down the stairs, look at little kids loving the world and their communities

look around, for love is everywhere. you just need to look for it

This is rough, have any advice on not fucking killing myself?

I know there are a lot of people thinking about killing themselves right now. I felt the exact same way in 2016 when he first got elected.

This is a bad thing, but to anyone having these types of thoughts, please don't do anything that can't be undone. This is the last term he can be be inaugurated, after these 4 years, or hopefully less, he will be gone. It's difficult to stay positive right now, and that's okay. You don't have to stay positive, it's okay to feel these emotions as they are. But please do not commit suicide, because if you do, you won't be able to feel any emotions ever again.

Even though I felt hopeless at the time, I am so glad that I didn't kill myself in 2016.

For my own sake, I really need the people who are upset with this election to stay alive with me
