I get why people might have doubts about character writing in idol games aimed at male otaku but it still does sting when I see someone unfamiliar with the story who seems to assume the worst about Jedah's writing when all things considered she's handled so well as far as I can remember 🥲
The only 'stereotype' she fits in is the overenthusiastic weeb and they subvert it by revealing that the reason she's taking pictures of everything japanese is to send them to her sister who adores Japan but can't travel there herself because of poor health. She also speaks normally compared to most foreign characters both in nanasis and other idol media, with only a very slight accent and sometimes peppering her speech with English. Not to mention all her episodes are actually about her as a character and her career as an idol, which can't always be taken for granted in nanasis where some of the early character episodes are generic anime fanservice filler.
There's of course the sexualized cards but this is nanasis, every character gets those
Ranked the 2053 songs. I feel like the overall quality is still good and instead my beef is probably with how similar the songs are. Like I listen to the Asterline songs from the first album but not from the second one (despite putting most of them in the same tier) because they more or less sound the same. But I was positively surprised by Startrail taking a break from Stella Mine's "we have SH at home" shtick and being a great song too.
Sanrio Musubi get 😭🙏🩵 And Susu as well 😭🙏💜 I was super lucky as I didn't need to blow all my savings, even if they release a new Musubi card around the time of the visualive I should be able to spark her if it comes to that
Donuts using every little trick to push the new girls is so funny. Not switching my oshi of ~8 years because you give out more free coins on some new girl's birthday, sorry if you were hoping for that
Not often comfortable saying stuff like 'x wouldn't have wanted this', but it 100% applies to the damn nanasis nft clownery. Dabbling in crypto is the exact kind of low quality content that drags the franchise's name through the mud and which Motegi wanted to avoid, going as far as describing his views and stance in the actual main story that is one of the main selling points of the series. It's insane how little those responsible of this shit understand the core of nanasis, or just ignore the will of the person who made the franchise what it was at its peak.
I've always rationalized my gacha spending as support to the game (especially nanasis since it's never been a moneymaker), but I don't wanna do it anymore (even if I could) since all of it is just going to the content of the new characters I care less about by the day
Tracon 2023, I had fun ☺️ Someone even recognized my Shinju itabag and we briefly talked about nanasis. Also found a Rona keychain from the flea market 🍩
