#RoadtoRecoveryWithSUPERKev2024 began the evening I got home from the emergency room from Heywood Hospital.

For #GratitudeSunday I share my May 19th with you when I was limping, it was #MsMATHMAgiciaN who stepped up.

(First thing she did was offer me pizza and chicken. I wasn’t in the mood knowing I would be sitting for a while, but please believe I truly appreciated it.)

She used her connections to find the best local emergency room. She made sure I got into a wheelchair safely to begin the recovery process.

Her greatness did not stop there, as she made sure LilSUPER was safe, then she returned to the hospital and stayed with me as they did there tests and gave my foot a cast for the first time.

After my foot was casted up, she continued to be stellar by helping me learn how to walk with the crutches.

[Oxiclean voice] “But wait…there’s more.” She continued to be amazing by driving me home safely. Once there she helped me get inside. (She even caught me when I almost fell getting up my first step with crutches)

Lastly, she made sure I got to my bed safely so I can rest until my appointment.

welyou that on Wednesday, June 5 the orthopedic specialists removed my cast and replaced it with a walking boot for my achilles injury. Most importantly they scheduled the MRI for 6/21 (which ultimately ended up being the C's championship parade.)

With my child support case in a earlier today, for #ThrowbackThursday (2/ many) I want to revisit the last day I saw BabySUPER (at his cousin / my nephews party) -I wish I never got fired for essentially cheering for my students -I wish unemployment sent that 20+K they promised since 2020 -I wish my car wouldn’t still have a reject sticker since 2019 -I wish covid didn’t deter my artists from trusting my business -I wish child support wasn’t involved Despite the numerous financial barriers that continue to try to destroy THEKev, as a black leader in my community it’s imperative I demonstrate to my son how Black kings continue to be positive examples for the future black leaders. What motivates you to be better each day? Mine is ensuring his childhood is better than my whole life. 10/25 #SUPERKevTheMATHMAgiciaN’s day started on 2 hours of sleep. Working overnight, bartend in the afternoon and tutored math in the evening. Rebuilding my finances after BPS as well as establishing BabySUPER’s generational wealth is very time consuming. Shout out to #MsMATHMAgiciaN for her efforts in making sure #BabyAJTheMATHMAgiciaN childhood is bettee than mine. I hope Jac grows up and appreciates her.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to speak with #MsMATHMAgiciaN & #BabyAJTheMATHMAgiciaN. The big take away is we communicated without any tension or yelling. That means the world to me, because BabySUPER is always watching. Hopefully this is the beginning of never arguing again.
