They embraced eachother as they went to part ways
“I had so much fun tonight…thank you, for coming”
“Me too…I…I missed hanging out with you”
Watch your tongue Aubree
“Will…we hang out again?”
“I’d never say no to that…you know how to reach me, if you want to see eachother again”
“Yeah…”
“…see you around Aubree”
“See you later Jacob”
And with that he was gone, leaving her stood infront of the lounge alone to process everything that happened and how exactly she felt about it
If only she knew the answer to that herself
Of course she liked how it felt, despite the years and years of not seeing him…Aubree never stopped feeling for Jacob, she just knew they couldn’t continue what they had, and it hurt…but seeing him again made all those feelings flood to the top and now she wasn’t thinking straight
She wanted him, she wanted to go to his house and tell him that she never stopped loving him but…she couldn’t, even if she wanted to, she couldn’t
“Geez…why does this have to be so complicated…”

“Please don’t…please let’s just- let’s start over, I don’t want this to be awkward I just…I’ve missed you, can’t we at least just…enjoy each others company?”
Watcher why! Why did the one who sees all have to make him so fucking cute, with those dumb puppy eyes and that sincere voice, it’s like it throws all her logic out the window
“I…guess I can stay”
“At least for a few drinks…as long as you’re buying”
“As if I’d ever let you pay for anything”
And so two awkward love bugs made their way downstairs to the bar and Jacob very kindly paid for their drinks
The first round
And the second

“You-”
But she couldn’t even get a word in before she was interrupted
“I couldn’t stay away, I’m sorry, I know we saw eachother a few hours ago but I really had so much fun with you Aubree and- and you told me you were gonna study today!”
“Aaradhya”
“And I thought, well I have some knowledge, she’d love that right?”
“Aaradhya”
“Plus we could duel! Give you some experience so you don’t wipe out like I did when we met”
“DHYA! Please! Let me speak!”
This made her flinch a little, she didn’t mean to shout- she just kept getting talked over and she just knew she had to be loud
Then Aaradhya began apoligizing “Sorry- sorry sorry I…” she sighed “I just…”
Aubree pulled her into a tight hug, holding her close and smiling
“I missed you too”
“You have no idea…”

“Well you know what those worn out old robes always say”
“You MUST strive to be the BEST spellcaster you can BE” they both chimed in unison, giggling like a couple teenagers
This was nice, Aubree realized how long it’s truly been since she got to laugh and chat with someone her age and she missed it
“Aadhrya” the girl spoke after their laughter died down
“Aubree”
“Well Aubree as fun as this was I should go study, get my skills up so they don’t hand my ass to me next time, I’ll see you around though?”
“For sure, see ya”
And with that her only friend departed, that went well! At least she thinks it did
But now that social time was over she had to get back to the books
Aubree scoured the shelves for stray tomes before taking her leave back home
She spent the rest of the evening studying tomes, experimenting in her cauldron and perfecting her spells before calling it a night

Making her way back to the main area she went in, despite that horribly awkward social interaction that shouldn’t deter her from making new friends with fellow casters
She walked in on a seemingly bad aftermath though, two spellcasters dueling it out and one losing horribly to the other, yikes, she can’t even think about dueling someone until her abilities stronger
But she admired a newbies determination to it
She spotted a bonding opportunity! They both had a long way to come with their abilities so she’d probably be grateful for a friend to confide in over it yeah?
Mustering up all the courage she could, she approached the loser of the duel and introduced herself
“Hey, I saw your duel”
“Oh god, you watched me completely wipe out back there huh?”
After the brief conversation starter the two moved over to the couch nearby and continued their conversation
“I did I did, but at least you tried, that’s more than most of us here have done”
“Good to know I’m right where the bar is at and not under it”
The two shared a laugh again, Aubree realized in that moment it’s been far too long since she’s socialized with anyone, she forgot how nice to felt to click with someone on the fly

Aubree Mullins, 3rd generation spellcaster of the Mullins family, an unknown group of spellcasters due to their “raunchy” history with the other occults, more specifically werewolves
She comes from a not so long line of Matriarchs and now as her grandmother has passed it’s her turn to take over the family home which she has very quickly renovated to fit her standards
Any normal person would go enjoy their new home, but Aubree is very focused on bettering her spellcaster abilities so she immediately took herself to The Magic Realm and headed up to casters alley to make sure she had everything she needed before she headed home
As Aubree finished up her shopping some Sim she’s never met approached her, he didn’t bother telling her his name, just said hello, maybe initiating conversation would be good for her, get some relationships going
But this man had NO INTEREST in Aubree’s interests at least and left almost immediately, how rude. Whatever, who needs rude sims like that anyway

“There’s no way you remember that!”
“How could I forget it?”
The two were reminiscing about their childhoods together, Aubree surprised Jacob still remembered so many things that she liked
This was fun, it felt nice to be with him again, to talk about the past, the good parts, none of the bad
But alas as many things in her life, it had to come to an end
“Yeesh, I’m 4 cups of strawberry nectar in, I should call it”
“I think that’s for the best, don’t want to get a FUI”
“Wha..?”
“Flying under the influence”
“Oh! Shit yeah I’m really drunk”
The two stood up to say their goodbyes, but as Aubree went in for a hug, Jacob caught her off guard
“Even like this you’re still beautiful”
Watcher please, give her the strength to resist this, his face was red from either too many drinks or his genuine infatuation with her, either way, the Watched must not have been listening because she melted into his hands like playdough
The way he caressed her cheek made her feel so vulnerable yet so safe, like when they were younger, how he’d caress her cheek before kissing her and dropping her off at home
“How could I not admire you, just once before we part”
He talks like a poem, and for some reason that gets her coals burning real bad
“Don’t say stuff like that…”
“But it’s true…”
The two parted and walked out of the Lounge, there was still light out so they hadn’t been in there long, but saying goodbye again felt like a knife in the chest for her

“Well…uh…”
He started to shift awkwardly in his seat, as much as Aubree loved the awkward small talk, this felt too random, no contact for years and then all of a sudden he asks her here to a lounge just to…catch up?
“I have a friend…he told me you moved back home and well…I…” he sighed “I just…wanted to see you again”
“Jacob…”
“I’ve missed you…ever since-”
“Jacob don’t-”
“Please listen…Aubree you can’t expect me to have moved on since then…”
“It’s been 6 years…”
“And I’ve counted down every minute until I’d see you again”
“The day you left, I felt like I lost a part of me…”
“You know why I left”
“I…I know and I’m sorry I just-”
“I should go…”

“I’ve been alright…”
“That’s good, how’s your magic coming? Any progress?”
“It’s…also going good”
Tense, too tense, geez Aubree at least try and lighten the mood.
“Uh…what about you though? How’ve you been?”
“I’ve been good! Yeah uh, got to take over the Moonwood Collective last week”
“Holy shit really?”
“Yeah! Uh, Dad said I was ready for it and well…as of last Monday I’m officially the Alpha of the pack now”
“That’s- that’s great Jacob you…you talked about wanting that a lot, I’m glad you finally got it”
“Thanks!”
Silence…dead silence befell the two and Aubree’s stomach twisted into knots at how awful the tension was, Watcher please strike her down now before this gets any worse
“Jacob…why did you ask me to come here…?”

“It’s been…”
“Too long…way too long”
“My Watcher…you’ve changed so much”
“Well, puberty does that to you I guess”
Things felt tense, at least on her part, he seemed to relaxed, like it was just some casual Tuesday afternoon, why did they make her a little mad, did he not care or something?
“So- uh…how have you um…”
“Let’s…talk inside yeah? Get more comfortable?”
“Right, right yeah, better idea…”
After that extremely embarrassing exchange, they moved to the top of the lounge, it was empty so they could talk freely as they sat across from eachother
“So, how have you been?”

Why was she here? God this was such a bad idea, why did she even respond to the stupid text! She could’ve just ignored it…not she couldn’t, it would’ve eaten away at her until she responded
Aubree is currently muttering to herself outside of a lounge, waiting to meet someone
She’s currently beating herself down because she feels like this is a terrible idea, which is might be depending on how it goes
“Deep breaths Aubree…it’s not like he’s a stranger…”
But he felt like one, it’d been 6 years since you’ve seen each other and the last time you did…didn’t end very well
“He reached out to you remember? So it can’t be that bad right? It doesn’t make you stupid, or desperate or…”
“Aubree?”
Fuck.
He’s coming.
“Hey Aubree…”
“Hi Jacob..”

She loved this, having Aaradhya around made her feel like a kid again, a kid who came to a new school and immediately met her person
How could she ask for anyone better?

It was weird, they’d only know eachother for a few days but already they were hanging out nearly everyday, going to bars, nightclubs,
doing karaoke and going to the beach together!
Their friendship bloomed so quickly to the point where Aaradyha would let her come over and just lounge around the house while she practiced her magic so she could stay on track with her skills.

“I’m surprised we never ran into eachother in the halls”
“I’m sure we did, but I had the words worst bowl cut and dressed like a gnome so you probably never talked to me”
Aubree giggled before looking over at Aaradhyas phone to check the time “oh crap- I gotta go”
“Huh? Why?”
“I just- didn’t plan on staying out so late so I really gotta head home, I’m supposed to be practicing my spells- but I did have fun today! We should do it again!”
“Tomorrow?”
“What?” Aubree turned to her
“Let’s hang again tomorrow, I can teach you some spells I’ve learned, that way our hang out can be both productive and fun”
She paused for a moment, no one has been so eager to spend time with her before…it was flattering, and she wasn’t gonna turn it down
“Yeah! Here’s my address, I’ll see you around?”
“Not even a Curse of Repulsiveness could keep me from you” she joked back before Aubree made her departure
Going behind the lounge she took out her Glimmerstone and made her way back to the magic realm to do some more shopping in casters alley
Her lips stuck in a permanent smile as she thought of tomorrow and seeing Aaradhya again
She didn’t waste time staying in the realm before heading home just before 6 pm, spending the next hour or two gardening and reading her tomes before she got a knock on her door
“Damn solicitors. I don’t want anything!” She grunted to herself before going to the door and seeing Aaradhya standing there
“Hey”

They sat on the plush sofa in the lounge and spent the next hour or two chatting, telling each other their stories, cracking jokes and just generally getting to know each other.
Aubree shared things about herself, how she’s (insert traits here), her favorite color, black and purple obviously, how summer is her favorite season and how she has an insatiable sweet tooth for anything chocolate.
Aaradhya shared her own info about herself, how she’s smart, admires art and a little hot headed at times, she found out she’s also a fan of the color black and even likes the same fashion as her! The two of them had more in common then she had thought!
They began sharing stories from their childhood, awkward teen phases and embarrassing crushes.
“I actually tried using a love potion on him like an idiot, it didn’t even work!”
“Wait why? Did you mess up the recipe?”
“Nope, love potions don’t work on people who are already in love with someone, so he just thought I gave him a weird tasting smoothie”
“That cannot even compare to the time I tried to curse the cheerleading captain at my school and instead I gave myself warts.”
“No say what school did you go to?”
“Windenburg Charter School, why?”
“Omg you were the frog girl?!”
“FROG GIRL?? Is that what everyone called me?!”
“We all thought you died! You never came back to school!”
“How could I? I was covered head to toe in warts and everyone knew I was a spellcaster, my parents homeschooled me from that day forward.”

The following day Aubree got a head start on the morning, making herself a nice breakfast before getting to work on her tomes
Halfway through she got a call from Aaradhya, inviting her to the lounge
“Well that’s inconvenient”
But maybe some social interaction would be good for her, help her get a clear head before filling it to the brim with spells and potion recipes
So off she went, meeting her at the lounge and immediately noticing her standing out front (oh dear, a trip to CAS is needed here desperately)
“Aubree! You made it!”
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world! Whats going on?” The two hugged excitedly and talked as they walked inside the lounge
“There’s a celebrity here and I also told you I’d see you around didn’t I?”
“Thought that invite was for the magic realm only?”
The two of them laugh before Aaradhya continued, sitting down on a bench inside to continue their conversation
