Now Boeing launches Modernized Apache.
From AH-64A in 1984 to AH-64E Version 6, or current v6, Apache grew by leaps and bounds - always exceeding expectations and redefining the platform's features. Apache proved to be an extremely lethal attack helicopter platform, as well as a very powerful and effective reconnaissance platform.
Continuous modernization has generated unprecedented advances in lethality, survival capacity and network connectivity to provide sustained dominance in an increasingly complex multidomain battlefield.

Simply put, since the first AH-64 took off, no other helicopter in the world has been able to match its unique combination of versatility and operationally proven, mature, low-risk and affordable capabilities - Apache is still the most dominant and advanced multimission helicopter in the world.
But the US Army's current plans require Apache to remain operational and an integral part of the service's aviation forces for decades.
According to Boeing, for the Army to maintain the dominance of rotating wing aircraft in future Multidomain Operations (MDO), Apache needs to be optimized to complement next-generation platforms in the Future Vertical Lift (FVL) ecosystem. In addition, Boeing said it is up to everyone in the industry to continue presenting the best innovative ideas and solutions to meet the emerging and future needs of U.S. soldiers quickly and easily.

And so, Boeing presented the Modernized Apache - a dominant and accessible concept built on the proven Apache platform in combat that represents the next evolution of the current AH-64E v6.
The concept of modernized Apache is able to perfectly and effectively meet the evolving attack and recognition requirements of the U.S. Army - including greater agility, interoperability, lethality, survival ability and reach.
It also takes advantage of, protects and preserves the established, already mature and installed world industrial base to support Apache's future engineering, manufacturing, development and production.
To ensure that the U.S. Army can operate, fight and win on the future MDO battlefield, the Modernized Apache will adopt and integrate cutting-edge technology to continue providing the options and tools needed to support soldiers on the ground.

The following six modernization elements provide the framework for the evolution of Apache in the Modernized concept and offer the plan for the continuous domain:
Powertrain updates to unlock the features of the Enhanced Turbine Engine (ITE) for greater power, range, efficiency and speed;
A Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) for maximum interoperability and faster integration and fielding of advanced features;
Advanced mission systems to increase network interoperability and reduce the pilot's cognitive effort and workload during operations;
Advanced sensors and sensor fusion for better and more resilient connectivity between domains and operations in all environmental conditions;
Airborne long-range precision ammunition, air launch effects (EFA) and potential integration of energy weapons systems directed in the future for greater lethality; and

Czech Republic continues to negotiate possible purchase of F-35 fighters

From April 3 to 6, 2023, under the leadership of Blanka Cupáková, senior director of the economic section of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, new negotiations on the conditions for the possible acquisition of 24 F-35 aircraft took place in the United States.
The negotiations covered all aspects of the potential acquisition and took place both in Washington, where the interested government agencies (including DSCA and JPO) are based, and at Lockheed Martin's headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.
In the first part of the work trip, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Czech Republic discussed with representatives of the company Lockheed Martin the proposals for industrial cooperation projects that the manufacturer presented to the Czech Republic based on several months of intense negotiations.
Lockheed Martin appreciates the quality of the Czech industry and, in some cases, its unique production capabilities. The Czech negotiation team repeatedly emphasizes that high-quality industrial cooperation projects aimed at ensuring the state's essential security interests can support the Czech Republic's decision to buy aircraft. At the same time, a meeting of a group of Czech pilots led by Brigadier Jaroslav Mka took place in Fort Worth. Throughout it, the importance of the 5th generation aircraft system was discussed, from the strategic task of deterring the opponent to its operational use in multidomain operations to the individual functions of the F-35 system in specific scenarios. Part of the program was an introduction to the production of the F-35, training programs and a practical demonstration of the pilot's equipment. In the end, the Czech pilots experienced some of the scenarios discussed in the solo demonstrator.

"I am pleased that negotiations with U.S. government agencies are detailed and targeted. We are managing to obtain specific information that we need for a comprehensive perception of the design and processing of material for the government," said senior director Blanka Cupáková about the negotiations, adding that the approach on the American side is constructive.
"I intend to present to the minister a proposal for a set of specific and high-quality industrial cooperation projects between aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin and Czech companies. I am aware that the scope and quality of industrial cooperation offered to the Czech Republic will also be one of the criteria on the basis of which the government will decide on the possible acquisition of 5th generation aircraft," says senior director Blanka Cupáková.
In Washington, Senior Director Cupáková met with the head of the Joint Program Office (JPO) for F-35 aircraft, General Michael J. Schmidt. The theme of the interview was the aspects of the preparation of comprehensive information for the government of the Czech Republic. This was followed by a joint meeting of the Czech work team and American representatives of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) and the JPO. Its content was an evaluation of the fulfillment of partial tasks and the definition of the next procedure.
In addition to a more detailed specification of the possible funding profile, the discussion focused, for example, on personnel training requirements, the necessary infrastructure, the planned meeting of experts on security issues or the schedule. The government decided to start negotiations with the U.S. on the possible acquisition of 5th generation aircraft in July last year in response to the worsening security environment, especially Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.
By October 1, 2023, the Minister of Defense, Jana Ernochová, will inform the government about the results of these negotiations.
