I sit on the sandy beach waiting for my fish to finish cooking the sounds of the fire crackling mix’s with the gentle sloshing of the waves, my mind drifting off to thoughts of a certain one eyed prince. The plains of his face, sharp cheekbones, broad shoulders are beautiful lo..

Loud snoring breaks my day dream. Aurelius the lazy dragon he is shifts in his sleep, purring almost in his sleep. Content with his full belly of fish and wild boar, currently making a very good wind shield as hes curled behind me.

It's been almost five days since my visit to the Targaryens. I truly expected something by now either in the form of a messenger or an army, I will say I was hoping for the first but was prepared for the later.

“I'm sure you were”. Aurelius speaks, an eye now cracked up gageing my reaction.

“Your being real cheeky lately”

“And you've been day dreaming since that night don't tell me the mighty red assassin has finally found someone who catches her eye.” I simply flick sand at him, to which he just laughs

“So what if i have, you must at admit i picked an interesting one. Really that whole family is interesting”

“But they are also dangerous little ones,I don't want anything to happen to you.”

I know but allying ourselves with them for now could open a lot of doors for us, especially for you. Relius I want you to be able to have better things: actual meals, armor, somewhere safe for you to nest if you wish, you know the works.

“Scarlet.”

“No Aurelius I want better for us i'm tired of always being on the move

“No SCARLET!!”. Aurelius says with force his head now lifted to the sky. I now hear the roar in the distance. Aurelius swiftly stands haunches raised a low growl falling from his clenched jaw as we wait for the source of the sound to come into eye line

Vhagars giant form breaks through the clouds, the blond silver of her rider's hair reflecting in the sun behind them as they ascend toward the abandoned beach.

After the meeting with the girl, I've thought of nothing else. Grandfather's network of informants tried all they could to learn more about the crimson haired assassin, all coming up with nothing but tails of her triumphs. My favorite being the one of her taking out a group of bandits that was terrorizing a small farm town, kidnapping a girl to do gods know what to do if lady scarlet hadn’t intervened. Every story and praise for her filled my thoughts as brightly as her rose colored hair. She was a beautiful enigma, a puzzle waiting to be solved. Once the decisions had been made I plotted the course and took off as soon as possible wanting to bring the girl back to king's landing no matter what.

Scarlets pov

The second prince and his dragon landed on the far side of the beach the ground thudding as Vhagars giant form comes into contact with sand, creating a cloud around her and her rider. I see Aurelius step forward ready for anything but i motion him to stay back as i start making my way to the half way point between the prince and I.

Meeting him I can’t help but take him in. His beautiful hair and fine leather coat swaying in the sea breeze behind him. Looking as regal as he could instead of like he just road a days time to get here.

“What an honor it is for the prince himself to come calling on me i expected a simple messenger from your sister.”

‘A mere messenger could not be trusted to negotiate these very important terms”

“And you believe you can my prince”

“Why of course my lady.”

“Confident aren't you”

Aemond simply smirks his head tilting and pale blue/lavender eye filling with merriment and mischief.

“I won't deny it my lady im proud of my heritage, of my accomplishments

“I would be careful my prince A proud person could end up falling

“True but i hopeful this won't be the case for i'm here to offer you a deal

“A deal then you all have agreed to the terms i left behind.”

“Yes however we have conditions of our own.”

“And what would those conditions entail my prince?”

“It’s quite simple my lady. We wish to tie you to our family to ensure you and your dragon stay on our side.”

“And how do you all think you’ll accomplish this.?

“Well you are lucky indeed since you have several options to chose from.

“Oh?”

“Yes”

Aemond begins stalking around me as he speaks, his voice sounding like its everywhere, gaze burning into ease gages my reaction to his words.

“Originally the counsel simply wanted to kill you, but the king my sister, uncle and I all disagreed. Instead. We thought you would make an excellent addition to our court”

“Oh i left that much of an impression?”

“You did indeed”

“And how is it they wish to add a no name assassin to the royal court?”

“Well you would either be adopted by a trusted member of the court and given a title,”

“And if I didn’t want to be used as a pawn in some up incoming family’s chess game to get closer to the royal family then what

“I wasn’t finished my lady, as I was saying you can come be adopted and not only be a noble with your own dragon that has never been seen outside of my bloodline. You would also have access to. All the amenities for your dragon, and you would also become the fiancé of a royal.”

“Now. That info turned my head abruptly turning to face aemond as he was still circling around me. He has a calculated smirk on his face before shifting and bowing before me.on knee raised before taking out his sword and laying it at my feet.

“Call me selfish if you wish but I am the one who proposed this stipulation, after all the tales I've heard of your exploits, of helping the people. Of Westeros, no if i'm truthful it's been ever since thee night you ambushed the diner, you're all i've thought about.”

I'm frozen staring at the blonde. His eyes holding me captive in my place. My heart is ringing in my ear.

“Having you by my side i would consider a gift from the new gods and the old

“But you barely know me. In fact you should wish harm to me for threatening your brother”

‘What you did is nothing that Aegon didnt have coming to him for his actions i assure you i myself have threatened him multiple times.”

What if I don't wish to be your betrothed”

“Then you would simply be adopted by. My sister Rhaenyra an join our house that way until i can change your mind, either way i win.”

I look over aemonds shoulder straight at Aurelius, his voice filling my mind quickly. “Don’t not base any decisions on me, little one. We dragons are adaptable. I will follow you anywhere.”

It feels like time stops the waves still crashing around us before i taking a deep breath and look back at the prince before me.

“Ok my prince ill will come to court with you however i wish to be courted before jumping head first into a marriage.

The one eyed prince smiles his violet blue eye sparkling as he rises to his feet offering his hand out to me. I place mine in his as brings it up to his mouth. His lips planting a lingering kiss.

“That can be more than arranged my lady, please return to. Kings landing in three days time and we will welcome you and your dragon like royalty.”

“Very well but I want some guarantees first.”

“Hmm”

“You swear on your family my dragon will be cared for.”

“Yes

“Well we wills for i don't want Aurelius with the rest of he dragons in the dragon pit. I would never forgive myself if something happened to him because I choose to trust the wrong people.

“I understand my lady, they’re are cliffs with ample caves the dragons like to burrow in when not in the dragon pit, we will get one cleaned out and your dragon will be able to freely come an go as long as you can guarantee he will not attack the castle the people of kings landing”

“The only reason he would do anything would be if i where in danger. You all mean to take good care of me though dont you

“Especially so.”

“Fine then I swear as long as you uphold your end i will mine”

“Good well then my lady i bid you a good bye, there’s much to be done to prepare for your arrival”

Aemon flashes me a grin before. Bowing his head at me one last time and making the truck back towards vhagars slumbering form. A pep in his step as I watch in disbelief of what all just happened, but I guess I have three days to figure it all out.

well i finally completed every single nook miles achievement in acnh

anyway my last achievement was attending 100 K.K. concerts. for the final concert, i dressed up in the same outfit that katt was wearing (she's my original sisterly, she's been on the island since i started it back in march 2020, and i love her dearly) and i asked K.K. to play K.K. Disco, bc that's katt's favorite song ☺️

and it was nice bc i also had a campsite visitor on the day, and it was bea! i didn't take her bc i have her on my other island/switch, but it was v sweet!

also my switch's memory is full up 😬 lol gonna need another memory card if i keep going at this rate--but i probably won't now that i've completed all of the achievements.

basically i was playing through a couple days each week to get to the K.K. concert for the week

along the way i let ione and sasha move out and get replaced w kiki and shep (kiki is a little meh, though i LOVE how i redesigned her house, but shep is v sweet, so idk if i'll let kiki leave if she asks to in the future? maybe not? but if i get a perfect villager in the campsite i'll take em) and then i played every single day to give them gifts so i could get their photos--and THEN i played every single day to give them their new wardrobe. lol

officially, in-game, i'm on june 17th

so i'll play a few days each week and then will set to figuring out what i wanna do w the island design-wise. i tore down what i'd built for sasha after he moved out. what i have for maddie is super crowded. katt's farm takes up a LOT of space and i wanna redo the orchard. the entrance is meh. i tried reworking in front of the plaza but i haven't decorated it. i did move my shakespeare in the park theater but it's hard to access now. i did finally make the beach fish market (feels incomplete, though) and the sushi restaurant. i gotta move (or delete?) my second account's house bc i don't like where it is. gotta move kiki's and shep's houses. lots of terraforming to do and futz around with. i like the ideas i had for builds, but they just got crowded & didn't fit & the terraforming is rough. i might just keep it simple and symmetrical. though i did try that once and it just looked weird. so. idk. i'll figure it out.

anyway. i did it. my original island has completed all possible achievements. as you can see in the video, i have over 520k nook miles. i still have my two starter villagers (katt and roald--i'm considering letting roald move, but i worry that no one would want him and i DO NOT want to void him, i'd be devastated, so we'll see)

i have ~35 million bells

i also completed HHP

and the museum (which you have to do to earn all of the nook miles achievement stamps)

my catalog is huge, but my storage is FULL (almost) so redecorating and ordering things would be a big undertaking

i think i might build more vacation homes for my darlings

the sad thing is i built a vacation home for aurora, and then i let her move off of the island and now on HHP she doesn't remember me :(

anyway.

i feel accomplished in a v silly way.

i "completed" the game. now i get to just vibe and design my island and hang out w my cute villagers.

the current populace is (in order of when they moved to the island): katt, roald, vivian, goldie, maple, poppy, maddie, dobie, kiki, and shep.

i'd love to take punchy or purrl if they showed up

previous denizens of illyria include: rhonda, benedict, flora, claudia, tammy, agnes, joey (we don't talk about joey), huck (we DO NOT TALK ABOUT HIM), audie, pinky, blanche, aurora, rosie, lopez, wolfgang, whitney, shino, sasha, and ione.

katt, roald, rhonda, benedict, and flora were my original 5. then huck [hisses] and then vivian & claudia. gets hazy after that who arrived in order. all i remember is that i got goldie to replace huck in 27 tickets, and idr who moved out for me to move maple in, but i found her in 6 tickets.

the ONLY amiibo card villager in there is ione. i found literally everyone else on a NMT island (including shino and sasha), in the campsite, from someone off nookazon, or they were an autofill [stares angrily at joey]. oh no wait, poppy was from a friend of mine. they found poppy on an island & took her purely bc they knew i was looking for her. and before they deleted their island save to start over, they got her to ask to move out so i could take her.

blanche (my birthday twin!), rosie, lopez, and kiki were, i think, all campsite villagers i moved in. and everyone else i found on an island OR on nookazon. but i think....yeah i'm pretty sure the only nookazon villager on illyria was aurora? and it was fitting bc then i traded her on nookazon to someone else who was THRILLED to have her, so i was happy she went to a nice home. ☺️ full circle, y'know.

my OTHER island is populated almost entirely by nookazon villagers. lol villager hunting went very poorly over there. i only found bones and sally on my own--everyone else came from nookazon trades. or--no, wait, i think i found bea on my own, as well.

i just scrolled through all my saved pictures on my switch and jfc what a trip down memory lane

i do remember having to sacrifice a LOT of pictures bc i kept running out of memory :( but a lot of good ones are still there, so at least there's that.

but it looks like i deleted everything of pinky bc i completely forgot abt her until i was "done" w the list of previous villagers. lol

so yeah. acnh. 3 years and change worth of investment and fun and sweet memories. i'm really glad for this game. i love katt so much, she's just the absolute fucking best. she deserved to have my final of the 100 K.K. concerts be her favorite song ☺️

what mods would you recommend? i've tried starting it up a few times and haven't been able to get into even though i loved harvest moon

For basic gameplay experiences:

CJB Cheats Menu: lets you alter pretty much anything in the game. You can change your character’s movement speed, increase or decrease your heart level with any character, change or pause the time, give yourself money, warp to any location, change how combat and fishing and the like work, etc. Very customizable, so you only have to change what you want to change.

CJB Item Spawner: exactly what it sounds like. You can spawn any item from the game at any time. If you want to make romancing and general friendship a lot easier, then this is the mod for you, especially if your partner of choice has very specific preferences. Fucking Harvey and his expensive tastes.

Chests Anywhere: another self-explanatory one. This lets you access all of your chests (including your shipping bin, fridge, and dressers) from any location. It also turns your shipping bin into a general inventory block, so you can see three rows of items instead of just seeing the last thing you put in. Can’t scroll down though, so that sucks.

Dialogue Expansion: this adds a ton of extra dialogue to friend-able characters, daily lines along with ones specific to marriage and festivals. It really makes the characters feel more interesting.

More New Fish: also exactly what it sounds like. It adds 93 new fish to the game so if you’re bored with the base game selection like I was, check this out.

For aesthetic changes:

Seasonal Buildings: adds a ton of customization options for the buildings and other structures on your farm. Just generally a really lovely mod that really changes how your farm looks and gives you more control over the aesthetic. I personally use the Eemie brick set.

Kitchen Replacement: lets you change the kitchen inside your house, including the wood color, tile color, and appliance color.

Hair Sets Pack: adds more hairstyles to the game, both long and short. The colors are more vibrant on these hairstyles, especially softer ones like pink, so definitely recommend for more colorful characters. DO NOT EXTRACT THE TEXT FILES TO YOUR MODS FOLDER.

Seasonal Villager Outfits: gives almost every character new hairstyles and clothes based on the season, weather, day (festivals have special outfits), and even location (characters on the beach can wear swimsuits if you have that option on). There’s also matching portraits. It makes the game feel more interesting when the characters actually change to match their environments.

Cat Replacement: lets you change how your cat looks and lets you give it a cute little collar. My cat is currently a tortoiseshell with a pink collar to match her bubblegum pink owner.

Honorable mentions:

No Crows: I fucking hate figuring out scarecrow placement, man. Fuck crows.

Burmese Mountain Dog: replaces the dog with a Burmese mountain dog. Has a customizable collar too. I never choose the dog but this one is acceptable if I ever do.

Babies Take After Spouse: if you want your kids to look like your chosen spouse, check this mod out. It’s not something I personally care about, but it’s got good ratings and people seem to like it.

SMAPI is needed for any mods at all, and many mods require having the up-to-date Content Patcher to use.
