Hi sorry, I didn't know where to look but thought I'd ask in case 🤷🏻‍♀️ do you know what perfumes celebrities liked? I'd like to know Rita Hayworth's favorite was. Thanks either way!

Rita's favorite perfume/signature scent was said to be Shalimar by Guerlain (which I've wanted to smell forever because it sounds like something I'd like but shop assistants at the perfume department always intimidate me). I've also read that she also liked to wear Aprege by Lanvin. And here's a Fragnatica thread of people trying to identify perfumes based on a picture of her vanity.

There used to be a post that went around that identified the perfumes in Lana Turner's perfume cabinet but I can only find it on another Fragnatica thread (you'll just have to scroll a bit to find the list)

The Stork Club had a signature perfume, it was Sortilège by Le Galion

Jean Harlow wore Guerlain's Mitsouko

Ava Gardner also wore Tabu by Dana

Lana Turner wore L'Air du Temps by Nina Ricci

Joan Crawford was said to wear Youth-Dew by Estee Lauder

And of course, Marilyn Monroe wore Chanel No.5, and Givenchy created L'Interdit for Audrey Hepburn. And Elizabeth Taylor went on to create her own perfume line!
