Summary: Tom takes care of you after a long day

A/N: hi! This is going to be my little mini blurb series. It’s all about working retail during the christmas season and basically to get myself to actually sit down and write, im gonna base a blurb off whatever i decide after i get off work. Like today, i really wish that someone would just play with my hair and let me rant, so that's what im gonna write :) I hope you enjoy! If you want the next blurb written about someone in particular lmk! I’ll honestly write for whoever, marvel, star wars, the usual people, etc

Warnings: fluff, bad writing lol its been a loong while so i’m out of practice

To say it had been a long day was an understatement. It should have been an easy, fun day, since your manager wasn’t on the schedule, but the holiday rush had other ideas. The number of people that came into the store without a mask that then got pissy because you asked, very nicely, to put one on, was astounding, especially during a pandemic. 8 hours on your feet, walking up and down the same 50 feet of store, with the fake cheery voice, and the constant refolding of clothes tossed aside. Not to mention the late night, followed by the next shift’s early morning. It was a long day. 

As you got in your car, you sent a quick snapchat to Tom before coming home. He could see immediately the pure exhaustion that was evident all over your face, so he started getting things ready for you. Though you were smiling in the picture, it wasn’t a full smile, and the bags under your eyes were clear. Tom loved that about you; even when you were tired, you were still smiling. Tom knew that you liked a good chai to sip on the second that you sat down. He knew that when you came in the door, you’d be kicking off your shoes, so he put away all the others, just so you wouldn’t be tempted to clean anything up. Tom also knew that you loved grabbing a blanket to wrap around your shoulders, so he put one by the door. It had become a thing that you would do for eachother; taking care of one another after a long day. 

When you came home, you were already so appreciative of your loving boyfriend, that all you wanted was a cuddle. You walked right up to Tom with the little grabby hands and pulled him to you. At first you just stood there, breathing in the way he smelled after a day, his sweat mixing with his cologne to smell completely of him. It was your favorite scent. You could feel his large hands pressing into your back and rubbing small, soothing circles, and already, the day was washing away from your body. It was like Tom’s presence and love was sucking all of the bad day out of you. You could feel his gentle breaths across the side of your face and began to feel calmer. Slowly, you untangled yourself, really the blanket, from Tom and moved to the couch. Tom sat next to you and rubbed his thumb across your thigh as you began to tell him all about your day, including the crazy holiday shoppers. At some point, you ended up practically laying ontop of Tom. His broad chest supporting your head as his fingers busied themselves in your hair. Occasionally, Tom would hum in response, but really, he was just there to listen, though you really surprised him when you popped up off his chest, with wide eyes, 

“And there’s this song! It plays like every 30 minutes and it's terrible! It’s this horrible cover of 12 days of Christmas and the woman is out of tune like the entire time,” you said with a huff and layed back on Tom’s chest.

He couldn’t help but laugh at the drama of your dislike, but the rumbles that you felt through his chest brought a smile to your face too. It was a long day, but you had a loving boyfriend who was willing to take care of you, just as you took care of him.

i'm around 5'3 , i have loong slender fingers , dark brown hair but it has a light pink fade from hair dye, i have dark brown eyes , and i am a mix of latina and filipina so i have a darker skin tone then normal . i also run warm blooded so i get hot very easily , even when the weather is freezing .

i'm a very awkward person really , but i can be more energetic with those i'm comfortable with . i enjoy making new friends and i literally laugh and smile at everything , even if it isn't all that funny . i have the most terrible memory , but i do remember important details when i can ! i'm be very stubborn , so it would take a lot of convincing to talk some sense into me . i tend to act on my emotions and get easily attached .

i enjoy things like watching comfort youtubers who make me smile , shopping , sleeping , and video games . i find comfort in doing those things , and i have a weakspot for stuffed animals and basically anything cute ( i also have an unhealthy shopping addiction , i like buying things like those kawaii/gamer tiktokers ). i am interested in astrology/astronomy though i don't believe in the horoscopes , and i enjoy dancing ( the kids and teachers at my studio i truly admire and adore , they're my second family though i'm not as close to them anymore )

i dislike spicy foods sadly , i have a horrible spice tolerance . i have a huge fear of spiders and clowns , like i will freeze dead on the spot at the sight , or i'll try and make a run for it . i get spooked easily , so i'm not the biggest fan of horror games and gore . nothing wrong with the subject , i just HATE history . its truly one of my worst subjects </3

though i can handle minor teasing , i don't like it when people take jokes too far , because it would be the complete opposite of funny as well . even though i got bullied a lot as a kid , it made me be more aware and i got better at self defense , so i can somewhat handle myself more decently .

not that i don't love my actual family , but my relationship isn't the greatest with them , as well as my family not being the most grand and mentally stable , so i tend to try and avoid them or even not bother to mention them . i truly have tried so many times to even get close , but it was kind of a lost cause at this point . i still care about them though even when i am not as close as i wished i was .

if i did have a pokemon team , it would be with froakie fully evolved to geninja as my ace ( i love frogs lmao ) , sableye , alohan raichu , luxray , mienfoo , and noivern .

This took a bit of thought, but I match you with...

Blue (Games + Origins)

▪︎ I almost picked Barry from the games, but eventually decided on Blue!

▪︎ His personality stays pretty consistent throughout the series whenever he's mentioned, or at least the things he is most commonly known for(i.e. the classic "smell you later", though I don't think he'd do much else in terms of teasing/jokes). That definitely helped- as well as some assumptions from the canon events

▪︎ Given how long it took for Blue to accept the position as Viridian gym leader by the league, it's safe to say that he is pretty stubborn. And from the animated spin off with the scene of him hiding behind Red in Pokemon Tower, as well as later denying it, we can guess he is pretty easy to scare haha

▪︎While I don't feel like he'd partake in anything like dancing, I do believe he'd enjoy watching it! Especially since he tends to travel around the world to different regions, he can probably be seen in the crowds of the region's contests

▪︎Speaking of traveling, if he can go all over the place to different regions just like that, he Has to have a lot of money and some kind of addiction to spending it; especially on minor things that he or his pokemon might like(or anything that may or may not be eevee level adorable)

▪︎But, either way, the only things I can't see matching up would have to be being bullied, considering he was the one doing it in his adolescence, and potentially having a not so great relationship with family(but it would most likely be strained ever so slightly)
