Self Awareness
I saw the prompt "intimacy" and this sprung to mind. I hope you enjoy it!
"Kagome!" Yuka ran over, careening into her arm like a human cannon and making her slide with the math review sheets strewn across her desk. "You would not believe what just happened to me. I can't believe you're even at school to hear it live!"
She was having a peaceful nap at her desk during lunchtime before being interrupted. Sleep was getting harder to come by these days, so Kagome found she was dozing off at every opportunity. Blearily, she sat her head up from the desk and a pencil dropped off from where it was stuck to the side of her cheek. "Huh?"
"Arakawa," Yuka hissed in a passionate whisper and a big grin. "He put his hand on my back! Like, above my butt!"
Eri and Ayumi came swooping in from behind. "He what?!"
"I! know!" she gaped with her infectious enthusiasm, shaking Kagome's shoulder a bit for effect. She mustered up a smile for her friend, though she couldn't see what was the big deal here.
Eri dragged a chair over from the desk in front of Kagome's with an obnoxious squeal. The person who just had their assigned seat stolen sucked their teeth in annoyance from across the room, but it went unnoticed. "Don't spare us a single detail!"
Ayumi followed the lead and pulled up her own chair. Yuka stayed standing, bouncing on her feet as she relayed a story of epically bland proportions.
As she listened to her talk about dropping notebooks off to the teachers' office with the boy she liked, Kagome began to zone out. Looking at Yuka's radiant expression after a moment, she shook off her fatigue and recollected herself for the momentous occasion.
She barely sees her friends nowadays! Crushes are exciting!
"And then. And then," Yuka leaned forward. "Mr. Mabuchi asked me to bring more books back to the classroom."
"And?" Eri and Ayumi leaned in themselves, which Kagome awkwardly mirrored.
"The books were on a shelf that I had to tiptoe to reach. Arakawa said," she put on a deep voice, "'You're too small Shimizu, let me help.' And he stopped me from doing it. With his hand. On my back. Totally casual."
Eri drummed her feet on the floor, Ayumi clapped her hands together and gasped girlishly. Kagome teasingly poked Yuka straight in her side. She danced in place.
"What did you do?" Ayumi asked.
"I stood there gaping like a fish!" They started to laugh together. "I took the books when he was done and made a beeline for the classroom."
Yuka finally found a seat and sighed forlornly, rolling Kagome's pencil back and forth across her desk. "His hand was so big and warm. I stopped breathing."
Unbidden, a clawed hand wrapped protectively around the dip of her waist flashed across Kagome's mind.
Not now! Inuyasha only does that when it's life or death!
"I'd probably die right on the spot." Eri sighed too. "You're so lucky, Yuka. I hope Tsuda and I get some alone time together someday."
"You will!"
"It's bound to happen!"
"I bet Arakawa thought your reaction was cute, Yuka." Ayumi smiled.
"Seconded." Kagome nodded.
"You would know, too," Yuka smirked in her direction, "between that delinquent of yours and Hojo."
Kagome's eyes bugged out of her head in indignation. She quickly scanned the room for the boy in question before responding. "There's nothing going on with Hojo! Or the delinquent for that matter."
"Like I'd believe that." Ayumi scoffed.
It was Kagome's jaw that dropped this time. She'd been betrayed by her quietest friend!
"Yeah, seriously. Sometimes when you're absent and we call your grandpa, he says you're running around with Inuyasha." Eri said pointedly.
"I would hardly call it running around," Kagome said weakly. "He...takes me to my appointments!"
Appointments being jewel shards, she thought to herself.
"On what? His motorcycle?" Yuka waggled her eyebrows. "Do you hug his back tightly?"
Her face started heating up like a tomato. "He doesn't have a motorcycle!"
"So, what? He carries you?"
In the span of a few short months, it was already surprisingly easy for Kagome to jump on Inuyasha's back at a moment's notice.
"No!" She shrieked and began to sputter, "We travel like perfectly normal--h-human beings!"
"Shhhhh!" Their teacher smacked her ruler on the podium in the front of the class. "Everyone go back to your seats."
-
When Inuyasha met her on the way home from school, Kagome refused to look him in the eye the entire evening.

May I ask for an imagine of Brandon making a song about you cause he misses you during quarantine :(
Big bet I got you, I love these cheesy concepts.
Butterflies - Brandon Arreaga
Summary: Brandon has been missing you so much during this whole shutdown, so to ease his need to have you next to him, he writes and produce a song solely about you.
Warning(s): Nothing Fluff is all
A/N: so I wrote a song/poem for someone long time ago cause I had a crush on them but I ended up not giving it too them lol so I’ll put it too use.
Proofread: yes/no
Tumblr media
Laying on your bed, you went through the pictures of you and Brandon, you were reminiscing on all the good times you spent with him, pressing on the pictures to hear what happened in the background, smiling everyone you heard Brandon yelling “that’s my girl!!” Or “damn you look really good” as you were going to text Brandon his caller Id popped up to FaceTime you.
“I was just thinking about you” you state, seeing his smile appear followed by the giggle you’d always melt over, you watch him fix his hair for what seemed like the third time.
“You’re just everlastingly perfect” Brandon’s voice hits a lower octave, rolling my eyes You hear his soft scoff “aye none of that! You’re beautiful end of discussion okay?”
You scrunch my nose up “but I didn’t even say anything!”
“Baby, I’ve been with you for a year, I know all your facial expressions” Brandon fights you on your debate, he licks his lips moving his bangs out of his face.
“I wish you would’ve dyed your highlights that color, you’d look even hotter” you state, grunting as you get up from your bed walking towards the kitchen. You hear nothing for him after your sentence so you looked back at him just to see his dazed orbs on you. “Jesus Brandon it’s been a year and you’re still zoning out while looking at me?”
“You act like I’m still not nervous by your presence y/n, you’re beautiful to me no matter how long we’ve been together”
“You’re going to still say that when I’m covered in wrinkles?”
“Fuck yeah, wrinkles don’t stop your beauty” he laughs, You grab a bowl for ice cream then open the freezer. “What you’ve been up to babygirl tell me about your day”
“Oh just looking at pictures of us and missing you even more, I also broke a nail” you show him the band-aid wrapped around your index finger. Brandon pouts at your injury and adorable you are.
“Aw my baby I’m sorry about your finger, how’d that happened?” Brandon softens, his fave coming closer to the screen giving his undivided attention to you.
“I bought new furniture to decorate my room” You pout
You guys spent quite some time talking hearing what one another has done for the day, you guys ended up watching a horror movie together, which made you slightly mad at Brandon, knowing full well that you couldn’t sleep without him around to hold you after a horror movie. But here you were in bed three hours later falling asleep.
“I won’t leave, I’ll stay until you fall asleep babygirl, stop fighting it” Brandon laughs slightly
“Wouldn’t be in this situation if we didn’t watch it, you’re just a sadist” you mumble, only fueling his laughter even more, you turn your back towards the camera hugging the teddy bear he bought you.
“Aw pretty girl, look at me I’m sorry” Brandon pouts, you look at him over your shoulders seeing him take off his sweatshirt “I’m sorry babygirl, let me see your face beautiful” Brandon’s voice sounding serious.
“Fine only cause you’re adorable, and I need to sleep” which makes Brandon beam bigger, you saw him sitting in front of a computer, sighing you just knew he was constantly working, but this time he was working on something for you. Brandon looked over once again to see your eyes were closed. His smile growing the more he wrote and erased, changed the beats on his laptop, strummed his guitar. He was determined it be perfect. Not only for his sake, but for you. He wanted to let you know you’re loved. And those kind gestures doesn’t stop after he asked you out. It was for a lifetime.
The next morning you woke up to your phone constantly vibrating, confused you thought your phone would’ve died from how long you were on FaceTime for, but it turns out you put it on the charger while talking to Brandon. Pressing the lockscreen you see you’ve been tagged in so many posts. So many twitter mentions. Did Brandon post a screenshot of you from FaceTime last night? Ignoring it you thought to yourself it wasn’t the first time he’s done something like that. Walking towards the bathroom, more and more notifications ringed.
Curious to know you walked back swiping on of the mentions, and typed in your passcode.
“ Just when you thought their relationship couldn’t get any cuter!!! 🥺 @y/n @brandon_arreaga STREAM IT GUYS!! “ you read one tweet. You favorited it then moved onto the next one.
“The beginning of the song starts off with her giggles when he visited her from tour......I’m soft dont touch me😩😩😩😩 go stream this people @y/n @brandon_arreaga” you favorited a couple of tweets, sliding down your notifications you stumble open his SoundCloud that he’s uploaded something. The cover art was a picture of you two on your first date. the Polaroid picture that is in his wallet till this day. Turning on your speaker you press play.
The intro was just as they said, you giggle when he came and visited you with your favorite flowers, you were crying if pure happiness. The guitar strings comes in right after you said “I love you”
‘Babygirl, got a heart like a garden, but she’s too scared to ever let it bloom’
‘Don’t wanna cave into love if it’s to soon, but she’s the girl I pray about to the moon’
Your eyes started to welt up in tears, he wrote a song for you? He used to love singing to you and still does, but now he gets to sing a song for you.
‪‘She doesn’t realize the pull she has on me‬
‪Honey golden eyes that just melts on me‬
‪A fragile sunflower in the garden sweep by the sea’ ‬
‪‘No matter what the tides bring, you gotta know you’re still my baby’ his soft voice brings the tears down your cheeks, after the song was done, an audio was played at the end, you remember exactly what it was. The day Brandon took you out to watch the lanterns. ‬
‪“I’ve never been this deep in love, ain’t these like the butterflies your mom tells you to run away from?” You hear you’re voice ask ‬
‪“Yeah, doesn’t mean they’re dangerous, just means you’ve found the right one, and you know they are, cause everytime you see them the butterflies just won’t stop” ‬
‪Smiling you wiped you face, calling Brandon on facetime, in a matter of a minute he answered seeing you wipe your face with his hoodie sleeve. “Hey babylove you okay?, what happened?” Brandon’s voice honeyed in on you, making you miss him even more.‬
‪“your song is happened” you choke through‬
‪Brandon feeling a sigh of relieve giggles through the phone “god you really are beautiful, I’ve missed you so much so I thought I’d write a song about how much I loved you” ‬
‪You heard your doorbell ring in the background “give me a minute baby” you tell Brandon, clearing your throat you walk across your wooden floor towards the front door, unlocking it there he stood, with his sultry eyes, he pulled his mask off to show you his beautiful smile. “And drove all the way here just to see you” in one hand he held a self care basket for you and his overnight clothes. In the other was his hand on your lower back, while your tears fell on his shoulders.‬
‪“I’m here baby” Brandon mumbles kissing your neck, backing away you let him in, as your dog runs and jumps on his legs “oh hey princess/prince I’ve missed you” he coos at your dog, placing the basket on your kitchen counter and his overnight bag on the living room floor.‬
‪“You’re staying baby?” You pout ‬
‪“Yeah, you thought I was just coming by and not staying? You’re crazy” Brandon chuckles you run over to him but this time he catches you his fingers hooking underneath your thighs.‬
‪“I love you so much” Brandon mumbles softly on your skin, kissing every part of visible flesh his lips can reach. Giggling you roam your fingers through his hair.‬
‪“I love you more”‬

Dragon Dancer II: Chapter 3: Sons of Raj
“You’re not bad!” Robertson passed me the basketball.
I caught it easily, dribbling in place. “I’m used to people being taller than me, it comes with the territory of being short.”
I wasn’t supposed to be outside, but I’d made so much headway on the translation project, that I could afford a day off. Ielia rapidly corrected EVA’s errors and clarified context. We were more than halfway through and it had only been ten days.
The tale was an epic one. An Indian warrior who was strong and deadly, but wise and compassionate so that he gathered a huge following and spread his rule throughout the land of India. His name was Raj Yamir. The text praised him for his handsomeness, his humility, and his intelligence. The entire text seemed to be about him.
Master List
Robertson made sure everything was safe, before allowing me outside where he’d jerry-rigged a hoop on a tall oak tree.
“You play basketball with Johann yet?”  He asked.
“Yeah a bit, but,” I wrinkled my nose. “He’s too nervous to be competitive so… it’s not very fun.”
Robertson laughed. “You understand though. Can’t get too rough with your girlfriend out on the court.”
“Yeah well, that means we don’t play.” I put the ball under my arm, sticking out my tongue. “I play with Lu. He’s not as good though.”
Robertson looked up at the hoop, running his hands through his hair in nostalgia. “Yeah, me and Tianjiao Chu used to play all the time, all the time.” He wiped his brow. “He ain’t as good as his dad, that’s for sure.”
“You knew his dad?” I caught my breath, not expecting this.
“Oh yeah! Me and Chu go way back!” He knitted his brow.
“Hold the phone! Tell me! Tell me! What was his dad like?” I ran up to him.
“He was like Johann… but more fun. Guy liked Irish music, sappy ol’ movies. Serious about his work but … not much else. Dude was hilarious.” He laughed at a memory I couldn’t see. “In fact, Lemme show you somethin’”
We went to go sit on a concrete bench. He pulled his phone from his pocket and scrolled for a while through it. “Ah… here it is. Here’s your boy.”
As soon as I took a look at it, I inhaled sharply. It was Johann as a child in a beanie and little mittens and coat, looking overjoyed at a snowman. “It’s a baby JOHANN!” I squealed, snatching the phone. “He’s so CUTE! OH MY GOD!”
Robertson was cackling at my reaction. I couldn’t help myself. “Look at his cheeks! And his cute little smile. Awwwwwwww! He’s cuuuute!” He looked at Robertson, holding the phone to myself. “Can you send this to me? Please?! Please?! I won’t show it to anyone else!”
“Sure… sure, sure, sure…” His chuckle turned mischievous.
I handed him his phone back. “Johann said you were with the Executive Department for a long time but I did not put two and two together that you worked with his dad!” I looked up at him. “He had a lot of good things to say about you.”
He blinked down at me.
“I mean, Johann did. I didn’t know his dad.”
“Oh… right…” He cleared his throat. “Uh… Do you have any questions for me?”
“We don’t… talk about our parents very much. I know his dad died.”
He sent the picture to my device. “Yeah, I was really shocked about that. The man was unbelievable with a blade. Super experienced. So… it really caught me off guard. Even after all these years. Can’t quite believe it.”
“What happened is… probably classified.”
“Very.” He gave me wide eyes. “But… I can tell you. Johann was there when it did.”
“He saw it happen.” I whispered, my brain imagined what it must have been like, empathy growing in my heart, along with my horror.
“My only thought is… whatever happened, Tianjiao probably had to put himself in an impossible situation to save his boy… that’s all I could think of that would make sense.”
I turned away. That made a lot of sense. I didn’t know all the circumstances, but it reminded me of a lot of children in foster whose parents died, or nearly died of overdoses. Even though they were young and they were unaware of their parents’ deadly habits, they blamed themselves for what happened. Johann couldn’t be any different.
Indeed, I blamed myself occasionally for my Robbie’s death, for skipping too far into the future and not being there to save him. It was ridiculous, but that was just the way the mind worked.
“Thank you for telling me.”
He moved to pocket his phone when it buzzed. He held it to his ear. “Robertson.” He stood up. “Carli, go to the saferoom. Now!”
His commanding voice jolted me and I stood there a second, registering the sudden urgency in his voice.
I ran inside, shoving the door open so hard it swung into the wall with a bang. I ran upstairs to retrieve the laptop.
The safe room was an underfloor bunker that was resistant to all forms of scanning and explosive devices and had enough food for three days. It also had two wall mounted monitors patched into the camera equipment outside.
The property was being swarmed in broad daylight by a dozen masked motorcyclists. They were armed with automatic rifles. The images cycled and I saw Agent Lavigne standing there to meet them, two dead men at his feet. He was wearing what appeared to be a blue bandana around his neck.
EVAs voice emerged from the monitors. “Agent Lavigne has gone rogue. You are not safe here.”
I saw Robertson jogging around the large house. He was going to Lavigne. My blood ran cold. He didn’t know.
I focused on the monitor image of Lavigne. I stood up. I closed my eyes.
I vanished into the dark.
When I emerged, Lavigne was standing over the bodies of his two fellow agents, raising his automatic rifle towards Robertson. He recognized my presence from the corner of his eye and turned to point the gun at me, but it was too late. I pushed him with everything in me.
But he only staggered.
He smashed the rifle into my chest. I felt the strange sensation of something inside me caving under the blow. I fell to the ground, breathless, nauseous, pain like fireworks going off. I wrapped my arms around myself, gasping.
Robertson was roaring, firing his pistol. But the bullets embedded in a wall of thick water, like jelly. It splashed to the ground, taking the bullets with it. Robertson ducked behind the corner of the building. The other gunmen had arrived.
Lavigne turned his cold, golden eyes on me. On his bandana, I saw a clear symbol of a serpent, forming the letter S followed by an R.
I squeezed my eyes shut and vanished. I appeared again, staggering with the agony, where Robertson was hiding. He looked at me, stunned. I couldn’t talk to tell him how I could do this. I grabbed his hand. I vanished with him into the dark.
We re-emerged into the hotel room I had stayed in, the one Anjou had booked for me. Fortunately, it was empty. I collapsed to the floor, raising my voice in anguish. Crying hurt, breathing hurt. But I couldn’t stop doing either.
Robertson held me down, swearing repeatedly.  He still had his phone which he dialed cradling it between his ear and shoulder. He ripped my flimsy shirt down the middle, examining my injuries.
“Schneider, we’ve been compromised. Lavigne was a traitor. Meixiu was injured. Looks to be two… maybe three broken ribs.”
A pause.
“Sir. I’m not one to make excuses but she popped out of thin air and tried to tackle the guy!”
His eyes were glittering with fury. “I told you to go to the safe room…” He hissed at me. But that was the extent of the scolding. He immediately calmed. I’d saved his life and he knew it.
“We’re… in a hotel. Sir. I…” He fought for words. “...again, I don’t know. You don’t know she can teleport? Well she can!” He looked at me. “Where are we…?”
“I can’t remember... “ I sobbed and moaned at the same time.
He stood up and left me. I heard him reading off the name of the hotel. He returned, still on the phone, picking me up and settling me on the bed. “It’s just a matter of time before someone finds out we’re here. I’ll put a notice on the Night Watch to get this room.”
“She’s in a lot of pain. We need to get a doctor here before someone comes in asking too many questions.”
After a few more moments, he hung up. He regarded me, kneeling next to me. I held my breath, tears rolling from my eyes.
I felt his hand on my bare shoulder, lightly rubbing my arms. “EVA uploaded your work and wiped your PC. Don’t worry, we got what we needed.”
I nodded, experimentally breathing in slightly. I was shuddering, pale, and sweating. I wanted to throw up.
“We’ve got a doctor comin’... You’re calming down… good…”
The twenty minutes it took for the doctor to arrive felt like a lifetime. In the meantime, Robertson continued to massage my arms, keeping me calm, talking to me. The doctor administered morphine and the horrible aching was whisked away. Breathing never felt so good.
The men’s voice sounded distant as they performed an X-ray right on the spot. I tried to listen but they were speaking French. Eventually, the man left us alone.
“They’re broken, but not badly. You’ll recover just fine.” He shook his head in wonder. “You crazy girl.”
“Why?...” I asked. “What happened to Lavigne?”
“Lavigne is part of a terrorist group calling themselves Sons of Raj. They’re hybrids. They’re scattered throughout the world and protect Leviathan. We were keeping our heads down once we found the palace but… eventually they were going to find out…. Never thought they had moles in Cassell though.” He stroked my hair. “Never thought that Lavigne… Damn. How could he hide something like that for so long…?”
Robertson returned his thoughts to me. “We’re going to get you out of here. Your injury isn’t bad enough to stop your work. We are going to move you closer to the palace itself in Mumbai.”
I couldn’t believe my ears. “Are you serious?” I whispered, wide eyed.
“No one can do the translation as fast or as accurately as you. You’re the Asset. There is no other.”

HEY
YOU LIKE SLENDERVERSE?
YOU HAVE PLAYED/ARE INTERESTED IN PLAYING D&D?
NO?
TOO BAD
I’m starting a slenderverse (mainly MH) themed dungeons and dragons campaign!!! Yeethaw!!!
Rosswood Revisited is a 4-5 player campaign which takes place in the present day, in a universe in which the events of Marble Hornets were extremely real;
“It’s years after the last upload from the Marble Hornets youtube channel. Once it was discovered that the series could be tied to real disappearances and murders, it quickly became shrouded in an air of very real horror and speculation. The authorities passed it off as an elaborate cover-up for what were perfectly normal murders- if such a thing exists- but the followers of the series weren’t convinced. Regardless, time passed, and the series fell into the shadows of the public eye.
Now, in 2019, your character is a student at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. Despite the town’s unsettling history with the supernatural, your soon-to-be party seem to be the only ones noticing the growing list of odd occurrences around campus. Whether they know it or not, they’re soon going to learn that nothing truly died in Rosswood Park...”
REQUIREMENTS:
Obviously, at least cursory knowledge of Slenderverse and Marble Hornets.
You have to have a discord account! That’s where I do all of my sessions from. (It’s also preferred if you have access to a pc/laptop, but if you’re Really confident in your ability to make a phone work, go for it.)
Please, only join if you’re willing to commit to a 2-3 hour session once every 1-2 weeks! The schedule won't be strict, but if you don’t think you’ll be able to/be interested in continuing long term, it wouldn’t work out well.
This IS a heavily homebrewed campaign, with alterations to the basic skill/class systems. It shouldn’t be complicated, but it’s good to know going in.
New players are welcome! I don’t mind at all if you’re learning or new to D&D; All I’d ask is that you take it upon yourself in your own time to get a cursory knowledge of the base rules so that we can focus on the actual campaign. That being said, I’ve played with unexperienced players before, and I consider myself pretty patient with other people. We’re all here to have fun :)
Like I said, this is a 4-5 player campaign! If you’re interested, DM me! I’ll close it after the player slots fill up. I’m looking forward to running this! :3
