So, this is weirdly specific, but does anybody have any recommendations for anime/manga/books/video games etc. which feature characters who struggle with moral perfectionism/scrupulosity? Bonus points if they mask their self-hatred with silliness afsfsgsgs but it's not a requirement.

#i've really been struggling to consume media because of my own moral scrupulosity #so i figured finding more characters i can project onto may help ease me back into it #my partner keeps telling me to watch trigun because of vash but he seems so lovely and i feel haunted by my own inherent immorality #i don't want to tarnish him afsfgsgsh :( it feels like i'm not allowed to relate to characters like him #i often reblog gifs and art of things i'm yet to watch such as trigun so if you've seen me reblog something then please recommend it still!#i feel really down so honestly it would mean a lot to be hit with some characters people think might resonate with me based on this #sea rambles
