#joke. mostly#my social skills have gotten better over the years but they're still severely lacking😭#especially when im interacting with like my professors and other people who aren't my peers#and i dont think any amount of socialization will make me start picking up on when people are hinting things to me. sighs.#one time. i was telling my professor im really interested in bugs and plants and he was like ‘man well let me know im doing research on#bugs and plants right now’ and i sat up weeks later and went HE WAS INVITING ME TO DO RESEARCH WITH HIM#this was after weeks of complaining about other students doing research with him on shit i wanted to research#like dumbass. he literally invited you to do that research and you awkwardly laughed because you didnt know what he was getting at.#anyway#maybe im just really awkward and quirky#bug talks
