Hii there !
Thank you so much for answering my previous ask!
I did like a monthly check-in please!
Initials: Y
Pronouns: she/her
Please feel free to choose whatever decks calls to you ! Thank you so much! Have a nice day!
Well met, internet traveler! (Always happy to clear things up!)
As always, my general disclaimer about divination is that I do not believe this is an infallible practice or that our fates are set in stone.
On top, please consider the spread to begin as of May 18th, as I don't like having partial weeks in this spread!
Today, I'll be using Under the Oak Tarot (Oscar, they/xe) by Ofride & StregaDelleMele, and the oracle deck that volunteered is StarDragons (Pamphilos, they/ke) by Paolo Barbieri.
As StarDragons is a bit wide, I have to take two pictures of this spread, and both are seen below. For space reasons, they're next to each other, so please click to expand.
As well, on the oracle half, it's top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right; and the tarot cards face the way that points inside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My current self. | Upright VI of Cups
This card indicates the revisiting the past, nostalgia, as well as innocence, joy, and healing.
Currently, you might find yourself reminiscing over the past, in a way that is positive. Even if it's a rough past and rough things you're remembering, you might be finding peace within the bad.
What is the theme for this month? | Sideways IX of Swords
Both meanings are read for this card!
Upright, this card is anxiety, worry, fear, and depression. General negativity. Reversed, it speaks about inner turmoil and deep-seated fears, but at the same time, learning to cope, finding help, and generally healing.
There will be a lot of emotional struggles this month. But at the same time, you'll be healing from the negative aspects of things. It won't be just doom and gloom, even if it might feel that way.
A key goal to pursue? | Reversed XIV Temperance
This card warns against imbalance, excess, and extremes, and instead asks to pursue self-healing and re-alignment.
So, this meaning is pretty cut and dry. Focus on healing from the things that have already been pointed out in the last question, as well as re-aligning yourself to new or old goals and plans. These things will help you heal and figure it out.
An obstacle to overcome? | Upright X of Cups
This card speaks of blissful relationships, harmony, happiness.
As an obstacle, though, it likely means that you've got to try and overcome your need for these things. It's okay to be alone, it's okay to be sad. You don't need to be around other people 24/7, you don't need to be happy 24/7. There's good to be found in solitude and sadness.
A major accomplishment? | Upright IX of Wands
This card is resilience, courage, persistence, and a last stand.
Hmm. Whatever it is directly referring to, you're going to overcome it. I can't say I know exactly what it is you're trying to overcome, though it may be related to the spread as a whole, but you will overcome it. You're strong and resilient, brave and persistent, and even with fatigue in line, you'll be able to survive it.
What to avoid overall? | Reversed VI of Swords
This card indicates transition, the "rite of passage", and general change and moving on from something.
Don't try and change everything right now. Just focus on getting out alive right now, you don't need to drastically change your circumstances in the process.
What to embrace overall? | Reversed VI the Lovers
This card speaks of self-love, but a lot of imbalance. Disharmony, misalignment of values, conflict, indecision... the works.
Embrace the chaos. Embrace that you don't know what's going to happen. Embrace that you're in a time of misalignment and chaos right now. Embrace yourself.
Bad things are not inherently to be fled from. They suck butt, yes, and I'm not saying "bad things happen for a reason". But rather... "you're stuck on this roller coaster so you got to ride it to the end".
General advice and encouragement? | Reversed VIII of Cups
This card asks you to try one more time, but also! to aimlessly drift, to walk away, to accept stagnation.
And the message really is as simple as that. Let yourself be more like a leaf in the wind, going along with whatever happens to you, instead of trying to exert a large amount of control over which way the wind blows.
Who will I be at the end of the month? | Upright Knight of Cups
This card indicates creativity, romance, charm, beauty, and grace. It is also diplomatic, the mediator.
You'll make it out and be just fine. You'll have more energy and capability than you went into everything with, and you'll have gained great wisdom that you can use to help yourself in the future.
— ☆ —
Week one. | 03 : Monoceros
This card is about transformation and defining yourself.
Basically, this week will have a lot of that. You're going to be changing into a new person (again, don't focus on changing the world around you), as well as defining who you are as your new self. Your actions will define you, so act wisely with thinking behind you.
Week one blessing. | Reversed Queen of Swords
This is a more adversarial card, indicating being very emotional, cold-hearted, and easily influenced. It is manipulative and relatively malicious.
Hmm... This may be a bit of a reach, but I'm getting the vibe it's more about... leaving this behind than needing to embody it? So I'm going to go with that.
It may not necessarily be a "recent" situation, but rather that this week will include healing from that happening.
Week one challenge. | Reversed XI Justice
This card is an injustice, unfairness, lack of accountability, and dishonesty.
Yeah, this card kind of cements that gut feeling / reach.
Whoever harmed you never gave you justice about the harm they caused to you. And that is your challenge. It's so hard to move on from something when you've never received so much as an apology.
— ☆ —
Week two. | 19 : Cepheus
This card is independence and carving your own path.
After last week, you'll be focusing on building your own independence, perhaps after independence was ripped from you? You're in charge of yourself now, and you're needing to carve your own path this week because of it.
Week two blessing. | Reversed Page of Pentacles
This card indicates lack of progress, procrastination, and learning from failure. It can be quite irresponsible and lazy, as well as an underachiever though.
Another adversarial card as a blessing! Well, this one is essentially that it's okay to relax, though. Despite the theme of the week, perhaps the carving of your week needs to be relaxation and resting, instead of working hard and getting everything done.
Week two challenge. | Reversed King of Cups
This card speaks of self-compassion, inner feelings, moodiness, being emotional manipulative, and being overwhelmed.
Your challenge is being kind to yourself. You're expecting yourself to just feel and act a certain way and when you don't, you're beating yourself up for it. Spend time being kind to yourself this week, okay?
— ☆ —
Week three. | 11 : Centaurus
This card is invention and burning with passion.
It's going to be a creative week! You're reinvigorated this week, should you have rested, and passion guides you and leads you this week.
Week three blessing. | Reversed VI of Wands
This card indicates private achievement, a personal definition of success, no rewards, and lack of recognition from others.
You might find yourself more comfortable not being supported by other people. Like... say you do a thing, and now you're comfortable not having people praise you deeply and heavily for your good work. You're working on defining your own success, and pursuing that.
Week three challenge. | Reversed VIII of Swords
This card speaks of self-limiting beliefs, having an intense inner critic, but also releasing negative thoughts and being open to new perspectives.
Alongside your blessing, though, you're still wanting that praise and support from other people. You want them to silence the part of you that criticizes you and tells you "You can't do this, at all or well." Your challenge is to overcome that, though, and be strong despite that.
— ☆ —
Week four. | 25 : Cygnus
This card means trust, and love and friendship.
This will be a very supportive week, but from yourself. You may not have others around you who support you, but you can support yourself. You can love yourself.
Week four blessing. | Reversed Ace of Wands
This card indicates an emerging idea, lack of direction, and distractions. On top, there's delays, blocks, and lack of passion.
So, basically, the blessing this week will be being a bit lost. You needn't have an idea of what all is happening and going on, and it's fine and okay to be lost. You might find creativity and other passions are at a low, which also isn't a bad thing.
Week four challenge. | Reversed XII the Hanged Man
This card indicates delays, resistance, stalling, and disinterest.
Alongside your blessing, that lack of passion will mean you're not getting much done. There might be a lot of apathy in getting stuff done and performed, but that's also not necessarily a bad thing. Neutral, perhaps. But it will frustrate you in some form or another.
Whew. That was a lot of reversed cards, huh?
I note below my usual, but I want to add an extra little note that with my divinatory readings, if you want to wait until the end of the month to come back with a review based on accuracy, that's fine!

*breaks into your inbox, makes soup on your toaster, and leaves a list of questions before disappearing into the night*
Out of your spirit guides from different pop culture sources or real-world pantheons, who works best with others from different "pantheons"? Do some regularly team up?
Do you find yourself buying multiple decks with the same overall "theme" (such as plants, animals, space, et cetera)?
And now it's your time to make a list of as many of your favorite decks and the reasons they're your favorites as you want. I gave you my exhausted list, I expect ranting and essays! (If you're up to it, of course.)
~Jasper
Yay more questions!!! Thank you for the opportunity Jasper! (Also, my poor toaster... my inbox will recover.)
Out of your spirit guides from different pop culture sources or real-world pantheons, who works best with others from different "pantheons"? Do some regularly team up?
Oh gosh... I'd say Lucifer. Lucifer is very results oriented, so They don't care about working with others they barely know for a shared end goal. My other guides know that if they need someone to just back them up or provide some extra firepower, to ask Lucifer, who will then ask me, and if I give the okay, Lucifer just goes "Alrighty. Time to go do The Thing." and then They do the thing.
I'd say the Princes team up the most though, because they're used to conniving with each other and being like "Hehe, I want You to help Me with My evil plot!" and said evil plot is just giving me an extra spark of joy in my life. (I love my guides so much my good dude /nongendered)
Do you find yourself buying multiple decks with the same overall "theme" (such as plants, animals, space, et cetera)?
Back when I asked for my first Christmas batch of nothing but decks, back in 2023, I asked for a good few nature related decks and came out with Magickal Botanical by Maxine Miller & Christopher Penczak, Mushroom Spirit by Nicola McIntosh, Urban Crow by MJ Culliane, and Herbal Astrology by Adriana Ayalyes & Joséphine Klerks.
Even then, nature decks come to me the most, and we can add on Enchanted Blossoms by Carla Lee Morrow (part dragon, part flower deck), Green Witch by Cheralyn Darcy, Seed & Sickle by Fez Inkwright, and Wild Mystic Oracle by Anastasia Catris (who actually came before those Christmas 2023 ones as my first bought oracle). We can maybe count Oracle of Pluto by Aubrey Houdeshell and Rose Ides, but that's actually a deck that uses hand shadow puppets to represent all the animal archetypes.
I also have a penchant for space decks, specifically Herbal Astrology, StarDragons by Paolo Barbieri, and Starcodes Astro by Heather Roan Robbins & Lucas Lua Souza.
So... yes. Yes I do.
And now it's your time to make a list of as many of your favorite decks and the reasons they're your favorites as you want. I gave you my exhausted list, I expect ranting and essays! (If you're up to it, of course.)
LET'S GO!
For me, I'm going in Alphabetical Order and in their sorted chunks of what kind of tool they are (tarot versus other standard versus oracle).
TAROT DECKS
Tarot of the Divine | Agapius & they/fae - I have the same gripe you do about the Rainbow Crow, but this deck is so integral to my faith and practice that I have such a soft spot for them.
Under the Oak Tarot | Oscar & they/xe - The art on this deck is just so stunning, but this may partially be "new deck jitters" talking. This deck is slowly instating themself into my faith and practice, and doing so quite well.
OTHER STANDARD DECKS
Hanafuda | Eiyuu & he/they - Part of my soft spot for this deck comes from having to build the meanings myself. He ended up being a deck of support, comfort, and encouragement, something I needed then and need now.
Poker Cards | Ludivine & they/he - This deck was, technically, the first one to end up in my hands, but they weren't used for readings for years. They're a gift from my dad, and this was his deck when he was in the Marines (I'm not pro-war or pro-military, by the way, that bares saying because this is Tumblr), so Ludivine has one hell of a personality and is very very wise comparatively to other decks because of their age.
ORACLE DECKS
Between the Worlds | Campbell & they - I just adore the concept of bones and curios being the basis for the cards in this deck. If you're into that sorta thing, I really suggest this deck. Could also be "new deck jitters" here too.
Citadel | Dragoste & they/he/xe - Dragoste is used heavily in my practice as significator, so Dragoste has wiggled their way into a favorite slot. It helps that I'm also majorly into fantasy and their archetypes and stuff like that lol.
Crystal Ball | Lazuli & ae - Lazuli is used nearly daily and as a very core part of my practice. It'd be rude to NOT include aem in my list here.
Enchanted Blossoms | Caoimhe & xhe - I adore adore adore the concept of this deck, of dragons with butterfly wings, and this deck serves and works as an encouragement and healing deck, which I am a proper SUCKER for. I love good healing decks!!! I love decks that can be used in healing!!!
Oracle of Pluto | Senka & she/he - This is another good healing deck, and the concept of shadow puppets for the card images (albeit drawn) is really cool. I just hate the fucking box for this thing, it's so... unwieldy. And not size, it's like. Things are tucked in sideways? And it's a really tight fit.
Prism | Iris & they/xhe - Color magic deck color magic deck! I wanted a deck about colors since I got into decks, and then I found this deck just existing out there! And now they're mine!
any Seasons of the Witch | various names - I adore this series. I will have them all one day. I celebrate the Wheel outside of a Wiccan context, because I like having any excuse to celebrate that I can scrounge up. They're a core part of my usual pulls.
Seed & Sickle | Dragoslav & he - I just love nature decks and I love decks centered on healing and recovery! Seed & Sickle is both! Good shit!
StarDragons | Pamphilos & they/ke - This was my first dragon deck, so Pamp holds a special place in my heart as I grow my collection. Pamp is also blunt and honest which I appreciate.
Touhou Poker Cards | Tomomi & they/xe - I've already kinda told you the story here but for all reading this, I got this deck purely because it was like a dream come true that it existed in the first place. Mystia's Izakaya team had a special pre-order for the Nintendo Switch Release and not only was my favorite Touhou fangame getting a Switch release, but ALSO I'd get a TOUHOU DECK OUT OF IT????? HELL FUCKING YEAH!!!!!!!!! So yeah Tomomi lives in my head rent free I love Touhou Project and I love Tomomi
Voice of the Souls | Amable & they/xhe - This is a very interesting deck, in that the guidebook is worthless and you're meant to read entirely intuitively lol. The guidebook wasn't meant to be worthless, but you are meant to read intuitively. It's like... a spirit communication deck, even if that spirit is your own spirit.
Witching Hour | Samir & xe - This deck is related to the SOTW series as it's by one of the creators, and man... does this deck fucking SERVE. Whenever I need to be told about my spiritual path, I go to Samir, and Samir bonks me, lovingly, about it.
RUNES
Witch Runes | Adeodatus & they - So this rune set is partially a passion project for me, because the original set is 13... but my set is now at 201. I keep adding more runes and more meanings, and things are great. It's a very happy project.
OTHER TOOLS
DND dice | Amnon & they/he - I just love the versatility of reading DND dice, because you can really make up a bunch of ways and do a lot of mixing and matching. It's really fun.
Charm Set | Astrophel & they/fae - I don't get enough chances to use Astro, but I love my charm set and the "build your own" aspect of the whole thing. I usually don't do handfuls tossed, but maybe I should? I currently just pick out one by one. I need a drawstring bag for my charms because that'd make it easier to throw handfuls, as of current I have them in a box.

Deck Reviews: StarDragons by Paolo Barbieri
WHAT IS THIS DECK?
Published by Lo Scarabeo, this is a 33-card deck, but 5 cards are optional and only used circumstantially so in practice it's usually more of a 28-card deck. Quite on the small side, especially considering standard oracle decks run more around 40-60 cards. This isn't a personal gripe, though, I love this deck regardless.
Which, speaking of, this deck is based off of the constellations, assigning a dragon and a herald, a humanoid companion, to each. There's a lot of constellations "missing", but Barbieri doesn't owe us a massive deck if they don't want to make a massive deck.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE & QUALITY
The art on the cards is stunning, being vibrant and bright. Pictures don't do it proper justice thanks to the finish on the cards making them quite reflective with cameras and light. It's not too reflective that it affects reading them with your normal eyes, though, it's just a camera issue.
The cardstock is thick and durable, and withstands shuffling (at least overhand shuffling) and use well. It shuffles well, too.
DECK STRUCTURE
The deck has a reading for both the Herald and the Dragon, plus an Invocation of the dragon pictured on the deck. There are no upright or reversed, but one could easily adjust their reading style so upright is from the herald, reversed from the dragon, or vice versa. I've always read it simply as whichever one pops up more to me in my reading.
There's not really much structure in this deck - Things are based more on the constellation depicted (the Phoenix constellation is about rebirth for example), so there's not much structure.
GUIDEBOOK
The guidebook has no pictures, but has the typical Lo Scarabeo affair of having the readings in English, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian-Portuguese, and Russian.
As mentioned above, there's three main blurbs for each card - Wisdom of the Herald, Wisdom of the Dragon, and Stardragon Invocation. It's... not a lot of information and is actually quite stilted into one or a few possible readings, but even as a heavy guidebook reader, I've never found them to lead to inaccuracy or other strife with the deck.
It's most likely the deck shortness is partially due to Lo Scarabeo, who has a reputation for "basically just keywords" only decks as to make room for being able to put all those languages in.
READING STYLES
This deck has a pretty standard reading style comparatively to other oracle decks.
It helps to have a good understanding of the constellation and the symbology behind it, even if the decks meanings in the guidebook are already related to that.
I find this deck works great as a precursor or ending to a tarot reading, or being used within a tarot reading for more information.
SOME CARDS
Tumblr media
PERSONAL THOUGHTS & EXPERIENCES
I adore this deck. I adore dragons, I adore the art, I love the writing and the messages of the deck. I really have nothing but positives to say about this deck, other than it's a bit on the smaller side and the guidebook can be a bit stiff to read with. If you don't want to spend the money on a smaller deck, then just don't get the deck.
If you're into dragons or the Draconic Paths, this is a good oracle deck to work with. However, this deck isn't specifically a dragon path deck, it's more of a dragon-themed oracle deck.
I don't really have much else to say. I like this deck.

Personal reading. # Guide: guardian dragon, left unnamed on Tumblr # Tools: - StarDragons Oracle | Paolo Barbieri
Tumblr media
(Sorry for the lighting on the card this time, it just did not want to cooperate with the finish on the deck.)
I was finishing up cleansing this deck and had the intense urge to pull a card.
[No question] | 15 . Corvus (Tranquility • Harmonious Inaction )
I think I'm simply being asked to take a damn break. I've been working on projects for myself out of wanting to, but...
Part of this can also be to stop and meditate, like the herald and the dragon are seemingly doing on this card. I'm not very good at that, but if it must be done, it must be done. I've been meaning to do it to connect to my guides some more, so maybe they have something to say. I know Vaermina does because I had two bad dreams in one night about hot topics when I asked for a restful nights sleep. So... we'll see what happens.
