I am struggling to understand what this pattern is asking me to do. My next step is this:

To guide me in what the chart pattern is, I have been given these two further descriptions:

But I can't currently work out what they mean. As in, in practical terms, what should I be doing over the next several rows until I have 28 cm of this? I know that I need to start and end the right side with a vanilla common or garden knit stitch, but I can't work out, for example, what "Multiple of 2 + 1" means in the description, nor what "knit 1 in a stitch 1 row below" on the diagram, and I can't yet fathom the repetitions in the diagram either.

Can anyone help? If it makes it easier, let's say there are 35 stitches per row - so the two on the outside need to be knot stitches, and then the other 33 need to follow the chart pattern
