oowee so i have a sorta sub-au that for some reason needed to be about shmim? idk i guess it fits better than if it were my normal zim - explanation under the cut

this au is basically like the control brains completely taking over and issuing a mass suicide to all irkens, zim might die, or just survive as his PAK is corrupted, but a message is sent out that exists to manipulate all Irkens to die for their race, for their leaders, issuing that the orders were given by the tallest themselves, when it really wasn’t - their goal is to completely take over, i headcanon that Irkens are just used by the control brains, the PAKs are used to control them and keep them alive, thus making them dependent on them, once strong enough, their bodies will only be used as hosts. Something creepy that i could implement is basically their bodies can still walk and talk, but they’re still these rotting corpses, the irken is dead but animate due to the PAK controlling them, maybe I’ll draw that eventually. This whole AU is inspired by the YT channel Local 58, it’s a pretty neat channel for the fake lost media genre, I think it’s interesting.
