I just got home from one of the sweetest, most relaxing, most indulging, “first dates”. We purchased a small container of ice cream and shared it. And to my surprise he had a backpack with fresh fruit and water. And a blanket to lay on in the park. Oh, and a speaker for good music!! Like my heart cannot right now.

He even let me read his journal which in my eyes means a lot because I know how I am about my journal.

I am filled with so many gushy sweet feelings that I haven’t felt in forever. And I am so happy that I am finally able to open up to someone, and have someone open up to me, and have my energy feel at peace. Everything felt natural.

Be still my heart 😍 For a while now my 6 yo Emma has been as obsessed with @taylorswift as I am. Every night before bed she asks her Alexa to play Taylor before bed. We snuggle and she asks me what I think each song is about (we have our own mini secret session) She just finally asked if my husband could teach her Everything Has Changed on guitar. This was her first attempt at learning to play a few chords. I even let her play with my signed Taylor guitar I won a while back from subway! I sure must love this little girl! 💕

I’m stubborn, I always have an opinion, there is definitely a right way to clean a bathroom, I hate dishes in the sink, I probably don’t say thank you enough, and if I don’t eat at the right moment or get enough sleep I’m a force to be reckoned with. ⁠ ⁠ Needless to say, I have my moments, and yet, this guy right here loves me anyway. This right here sums up the whole weekend. After a lot of years of hanging onto the dream of enjoying cross country, and more recently starting to believe maybe it really was a thing of the past, all that rebuilding of that castle in the air finally paid off. The tears, the broken hearts, the frustrations, the willingness to keep starting over, suddenly they were all worth while. This little grey mare with the most amazing name helped me start to believe in myself again. Thank you to all my amazing friends all across the country that have repeatedly encouraged me, helped pick me up and probably wondered how long I'd keep beating myself up with dreams that seemed like maybe they should be put away. Today as we crossed through the finish flags I wanted to go right back out at the next level up, and the next and the next, it was that much fun! Despite what many people seem to have said, I actually loved the last Doctor Who series; I've never freaked out about an opener before, but this time I was left in shambles, haha! .
