Because of the nature of her dad's work, she knew Ibiki before he was their proctor at the Chuunin Exams. That familiarity had lulled her briefly into a sense of security until she remember why she knew him. He worked in intelligence. He worked with her dad, a Yamanaka. The odds were already stacked against her with something that knew her dad. She definitely felt the heat having him monitoring and knowing that he could certainly spot a Yamanaka tactic when he saw one.

sasuke:

reads books

practices with his rinnegan (to get used to his abilities more)

trains in general

lowkey hangs out with naruto + sakura

gaara:

tends to his garden

reads as well

talks with shukaku (but he eventually stops because shukaku gets annoying or bratty)

spends time with his siblings when they’re free

tries to socialize with the villagers of suna

deidara:

works on his art (clay works)

drawing (but he’d never do it around someone)

not even being edgy but literally blowing things up

messing with tobi / akatsuki members (he likes to annoy them)

itachi:

training

going out on small missions

attempting to spend time with sasuke (in alt verses)

spends time with shisui

reading

kakashi: 

we know that all this man does is read his erotic novels

naps when he gets a chance. he’s tired and stressed all the time

competitions with gai

visiting obito, rin + minato

madara:

me briefly: what DOES this man do besides plot world domination + yell at hashirama

i mean, he likes to garden sometimes. has a cute little azalea plant.

tries to spend time with the other uchiha but they’re lowkey (highkey) afraid of him

     AND HE COULDN’T HAVE SEEN IT COMING --- the speed of the hard object coming straight for him without any hope of dodging it. The women of Konoha were scary and their strength was endless and limitless. Once the ( rock ) made contact, the whiskered host went down with a THUD! --- only being left to wonder what he had done...

The sensor hides in the black of the tree-tops, an aspect of devilish anticipation about her visage; once her missile, a half-fist of rock, collides with her target andーyosh!ーknocks him about, she launches herself from her wicked perch to tower above his prone form. 

      Appraising the slight changes in her clanmate from the last time they had met, Karin’s champagne-glossed lips quirk in a taunting smile. ❝Your reflexes need some work, Naruto. Don’t tell me you’ve been slackin’ off while I’ve been away.❞ Still, despite the sardonic reprimand in her tone, there is an undeniable warmth underlying it; the likes of which scarcely anyone had the fortune of witnessing.

“I um---I didn’t mean---” Hinata finds herself giggling all the same. She hadn’t meant to trip while showing off the new move she learned, a special kind of kick---as her leg had moved in an almost perfect semi-circle. Then she found herself loosing her balance and she stumbled all the same. It was just the two of them in the practice field, and she thought what a better way to impress him? In the end though, she was but a puddle of giggles, long black hair framing her features. “I’m glad it made you laugh, Naruto. I suppose---It was worth it in the end, to simply see you smile.”

“I don’t think ya would’a seen a fly if it had flown past ya. Or even landed on ya for that matter.” Kyo wasn’t sure why he bothered to bother the stranger, but for some reason--maybe call it curiousity, and that infamous phrase with felines--but he went ahead anyways. The guy seemed---nice enough, at least. Didn’t act too offended from his tap. “With ya spacey-ness ya almost remind me of someone I know. But glad to know ya not--I dunno, a statue or somethin’. Ya would seem real life-like if ya were.” Kyo digs his palms into his pockets. “Ya headed somewhere? I could uh--help ya out, if ya wanted. So nobody tries to rob ya while ya spacin’ out.”

                  ☆ for once, their meal is not a competition. lee hasn’t demanded they finish their bowl of ramen as quickly as possible to prove who’s stomach is the strongest, but rather they sit side-by-side and share a meal in the company of one another. he’s been gone awhile - konoha’s military liasion between the allied shinobi forces will do that to you - and he’s glad to be back home.

"A few days," he admits with a shrug. Though his eyes ask a different question. How did Naruto find him...or was he told? Then again it makes no difference.

Kakashi summoned him for a meeting and mission that could not be delivered through summons. Sensitive details and all. Now he was preparing to leave, unsure when he would return. Hell now that he thinks on it, had Naruto not found him it could very well have been a year since they last saw each other.

Hm.

Looking away he turns to watch an elderly couple walk by, groceries in hand. He's not sure what else to say. His visits to Konoha are becoming less. The last time he set foot beyond the village gates was almost six months ago. Their correspondence has become more and less formality.

"I'm leaving tomorrow." He adds when silence between them stretches too long.

Xavier had been trying to just get his coffee and the guy that was around kept trying to come onto him and he was getting rather annoyed since, well...-- He just wanted to get his coffee and go, but the man was persistent. Then Xavier heard another voice come beside him and ask him if they were bothering him. He wanted to say yes, but he didn’t want a confrontation to happen.

“...I’m just trying to get my coffee..” He states simply, hoping the other could tell he wasn’t really comfortable saying yes or no.

She wasn't sure at first when Naruto had held his hand out to her. The pair had been simply sitting outside, listening to the music playing from a nearby tavern. It was upbeat at first, and had a lot of high energy rhythm to it. So much so that Hinata wasn't sure anyone could dance to that at all. But as it slowed, she could feel her cheeks grow warm. Ah, she knew this song. It was a love song. Naruto seemingly standing up from the log the two had shared---held out a hand to her and soon---she was up on her feet before she realized it. Taking his hand in hers, she let his hand rest on her hip and hers on his shoulder. That familiar blush of course spread on her pale features, but she paid it no mind as Naruto led them in a semi-graceful circle as she did her best not to step on his feet.

"I--I hope I don't--step on you at all...." She admits to him, lavender hues briefly looking at the soft earth beneath them. "I was always told that I have two left feet for all the grace Hyuga are said to have."

     Gaara  couldn't  remember  the  last  time  he  actually  enjoyed  the  warmth  of  a  hot  spring.  In  fact,  the  few  memories  he  had  of  one  were  hazy  at  best,  for  his  past  visits  were  all  during  a  time  when  nothing  mattered  to him  except  the  mission.  Temari  liked  to  stop  whenever  they  came  across  one  and  if  his  mood  was  decent,  Gaara  would  allow  it.  That  was  a  few  years  ago  and  the  mere  thought  brought  shame  to  his  heart.  Temari  deserved  better  than  his  bad  moods,  but  he  knew  there  was  no  changing  the  past.

     The  red-head  came  up  from  beneath  the  water,  sighing  softly  as  water  rained  down  his  frame.  Seated  across  from  him  was  the  reason  they  were  here.  It  was  a  small  spot  that  Naruto  visited  once  with  his  late  mentor.  Gaara  didn't  even  need  to  know  why  considering  all  the  ladies  he'd  seen  earlier.  But  now  it  was  just  him  and  Naruto  enjoying  a  relaxing  day.  The  soft  purrs  coming  from  his  friend  had  Gaara  watching  him  briefly  with  a  hint  of  a  smile  before  he  allowed  eyes  to  close  for  a  few.

     Eventually,  the  feeling  of  fingers  combing  through  wet,  red  strands  is  what  drew  the  the  drowsy  kage's  attention.  Teal  eyes  opened  up  to  find  his  friend  standing  over  him.  It  seemed  surreal;  like  the  best  of  dreams  as  steam  radiated  off  of  Naruto's  wet  frame.  Gaara  stood,  locking  eyes  with  his  friend  briefly.  Naruto's  gaze  wasn't  very  subtle  at  all  nor  were  the  words  that  slipped  past  his  lips.  Gaara  found  himself  leaning  close,  pressing  their  foreheads  together.

     ❝ You  really  think  so? ❞     he  asked,     raising  his  head  slightly  so  that  full  lips  brushed  Naruto's  own.     ❝ I  can't  say  that  I  know  much  about  kissing  but  if  an  expert's  willing  to  teach  me,     I  will  allow  it.  They  can  kiss  me  whenever  they  want,     Naruto. ❞
