Dear NHL,

the next time you pick finalists for the NHL fan choice awards, maybe check with hockey tumblr first, eh? We could have told you why all your choices are bogus!

- “Top Bromance” and you don’t include Auston/Mitchy, Tyler/Jamie, Sid/Geno, Barzal/Beauvillier, etc.? You give us Thornton and Burns? Really?

- “Best Dog” and you give us king of domestic violence Evander Kane with a puppy (nice try, NHL. Nice try. He still beat up a woman.) and none of Tyler Seguin’s three labs? You can get Seguin voted “Best dressed” all you want but he’ll climb the stage at the awards and start his speech with “MY DOGS ARE BETTER THAN ALL OF YOU!” and that is a promise!

- Your GIFs of the year are pretty solid. Gotta give you that.

- But don’t fucking push the rapist from Chicago down our throats. Even if it’s just as a minor character in the category “Best Chirp”. You wanna see good chirps? Hand one of the Ontario boys (Strome, McLeod, Bastian, Marner, McDavid, etc.) an Iphone and let them post something. There will be chirping like you wouldn’t believe!
