National Math Foundation Summer Institute for teachers and administrators is now taking registrations! This year they invite participants to learn more about Math and Movement. Math and Movement is a multi-sensory approach to teaching math that incorporates physical exercise, stretching, and cross-body movements. BONUS!! There is childcare school age youth program for your own kids featuring Math and Movement and MathEngaged while you are attending the teacher institute. If you register, you will see me there working hard on becoming certified as a facilitator of this program so I can integrate it into my music curriculum as well as help other districts train faculty and staff for PD.
