two visits the granite clan for last minute advice, reassurance, and a lot of doting

AU moment: what would Two have been like if Giovanni had treated him well but raised him to think and be like Giovanni himself? To actually rule beside him in Team Rocket and abuse his powers as he saw fit, so long as he never betrayed Giovanni. Would he have been a nightmare?

i think nico during the events of nc would be the closest answer to that, but even then giovanni only ever treated him '''well''' in the flimsiest sense as a 'reward' for becoming so traumatized he no longer wanted to fight back. giovanni in nc would be hard-pressed to actually treat his clone assets with respect, even if it would net him a better outcome, because his main failing was that his pride didn't allow him to see any of them as more than a tool.

however two in particular isn't exactly a clone who would've helped gio's ambitions like the others had. he questions everything from the start and doesnt stop questioning it, he is immediately appalled by violence and the power he has over other people, and he's just too dang empathetic out of the gate. addie and nico had to come to terms with being numbed and indoctrinated by gio to commit violent acts, but two never got that far. (this is implied to be a result of having to escape the lab and kill people to do so, acquainting him with the trivialness of his power over their lives when they had been his only friends up until that point)

but, ideally for this scenario, two would've never gotten that experience, and would have to be groomed from day one by giovanni to be the perfect machine for enacting violence. gio would have to gaslight him constantly and downplay the worth of other people's lives to him, and it would probably leave him emotionally stunted in a sense. giovanni could hypothetically make himself the center of two's universe, as he did with addie, but two is not someone who would be gleefully violent and abuse his powers. he'd probably be more methodical and efficient about it, trying to minimize the extent of death and destruction under the excuse of wanting to maximize the outcome of giovanni's success in order to hide a deeper sense of regret he can't shake. he would become numb like the other victims of giovanni, not allowed to care for or love anyone else out of fear for what he may be forced to do to them.

i dont think ive done an official nc cast music opinions post but let me tell you, i have thought EXTENSIVELY about it

char is obviously a dadrock kid who grew up with norman showing her The Classics and playing old records/classic rock stations. i associate country and adjacent-sounding music with her a lot but i think her personal choice of music would be more towards hair metal. particular bands she’d like: van halen, whitesnake, ac/dc

nico, while i joke about him liking stuff like the smiths, is 100% a prog rock nerd. theres a surprising amount of overlap between his and char’s tastes because they both lose their shit when queen or pink floyd comes on the radio, but nico’s the guy who sits down and listens to all those big involved concept albums from beginning to end while char just loves the radio hits. its definitely so he has the bragging rights of Good Taste, but in the end he shares char’s sentiment that not everything needs to be a Deep Cut. specific bands he’d like: pink floyd, king crimson, david bowie

two is new to music in general, and doesn’t have any nostalgia or history with certain genres, so he’s open to listening to a little bit of everything (within reason). he prefers lyrics and melodies over sheer vibes, so long, drawn-out instrumental sections don’t really keep his interest. exposure to char and norman’s old fashioned tastes has of course effected this. specific bands: simon and garfunkle, queen, ELO

addie, also new to music, definitely leans more towards Sheer Vibes and The Good Sounds; abstract qualities that they couldn’t quite find with all the deep cuts and required listens that nico and char try to shove down her throat. addie would jive with stuff that evokes sensory overload like harsher electronica, hyperpop, and breakcore to soothe their manic brain, to everyone else’s dismay. specific painful music: machine girl, dorian electra, 100 gecs

i dont play animal crossy myself, but i can think about how cute they’d all look in the style and the shenanigans they’d get up to

nico: does not play the game, but gets into ‘is tom nook a landlord’ arguments with everyone else

addie: has to be reminded there’s a museum you can drop off all these crates and crates of bugs/fish at; vehemently refuses and tells blathers to meet them in the pit if he wants them so bad

mewtwo: actually plays the game calmly like a normal fucking person

Would mewtwo be late enough in the cloning process to be able to have babies with char?

in theory, though he started out presumably sterile because being made with both sets of reproductive organs messed with his hormone balance. he had to actively work on getting either one set or the other to work through medical intervention, and he chose to put that uterus to work so addie could be the sire, which seemed like the safest route to take

char also does not actually want to personally have babies, and in fact she prefers that sapient partners have no risk of knocking her up

i had designs for human au ncverse clones knocking around in my head, based on sims versions i made a billion jillion years ago

ncverse cast but they play irl videos games

char: mindless shooty games the borderlands series, various fighting games she can just buttonmash

nico: specifically the classic ‘Good’ rpgs like planescape and baldur’s gate, fallout 1,2 and new vegas only. pretends daggerfall is good so he can feel superior to skyrim players

two: minecraft and other survival/crafting sims, stardew valley, fallout 4 but only the settlement gameplay on char’s save because she doesnt really care and is only in it for the satisfaction of getting headshots

yanna: also stardew valley, but can wreck char’s reckless buttonmashing ass in a fighting game if he wants

addie: still not sure on what video games are yet, but is very happy about things like character creators tho and nico lets them go hog on that stuff when he wants to do a new run on a bioware game or w/e
