yes! they have the dynamic ivyfern were supposed to have. since pere is their only kit, they are able to pour a lot of their time into making sure she grows to be a well adjusted cat. being mentors to her friends, it makes them “your friends cool parents”.

What is Shadowberry like as a mentor?

shadowberry…tries her hardest. shes loud and friendly and boisterous, but shes pretty young and nowhere near as experienced as sunheart was. shes excellent with peregrinepaw emotionally though, especially in helping her cope with grief. ravenstripe, shadowberrys mate, serves as an unofficial second mentor since she is much more capable as a teacher.

How was Sunheart as a mentor?

sunheart as a patient, kind cat and the ideal mentor. she died saving peregrinepaw from a dog. she was by far the most approachable of her sisters, and worked hard to make sure peregrinepaw could defend herself as well as hunt.

Why is Peregrinepaw a Hunter?

the hunters also cook the food, and peregrinepaw loves cooking (and eating). she loves to make jerky especially.

How do apprentices choose their path?

apprentices spend the first half of their apprenticeship in general education, rotating through one mentor from each path while also being taught basic skills. after this, they choose the path they liked best or were most suited to and begin more intensive and specified training, now with a set mentor. apprentices cannot perform their tasks alone until they reach the halfway point of this portion.

all apprentices know how to hunt, fight, and do basic cooking, but the more general paths (warrior, hunter) teach specific and in depth aspects. apprentices often carve out their own niche in these paths, like peregrinepaw spending much of her time smoking meats to make jerky.

starseers and medics, instead, choose their path as soon as they become apprentices. this is due to the higher risk of their jobs.

Peregrinepaw’s favorite prey to hunt/eat?

peregrinepaw enjoys group hunts! she especially enjoys hunting for boars, because she enjoys the dishes she can make with them the most. she enjoys making jerky the most due to loving the process of using smoke and spices. her favorite food is honey glazed boar.

she hates hunting songbirds, as she thinks theyre pretty and sort of magical.

Can I kiss her on the head?

gorseberry is the Ultimate Girldad. he was a single parent to fadingpaw, and did everything in his power to raise her right like his mother did. he is an absolute sweetheart, always there for his daughter even if he doesnt quite understand whats truly going on. he was who pushed fadingpaw to make friends with the other apprentices, sending her on a hunting excursion with ravenstripe, shadowfang, and sunheart when the apprentices were all young. they all came back thick as thieves, much to gorseberry’s joy.

his former mate is named honeysuckle. honeysuckle left fadingpaw with gorseberry, feeling unready to raise the kit or join the clan. she went back to being a kittypet, and he continued on with clan life with a heavy heart. he misses her and wishes fadingpaw couldve known her as he did, but somewhat understands why she left.

he is by far wisteriaclans best warrior, being large and surprisingly fast. he gets along extremely well with nettleglide, and fairly well with stormpelt.
