Nevin’s Barberry is blooming again in my yard now. This very rare Southern California endemic shrub is found in very few riparian chaparral areas. I got mine from @theodorepayne and they are taller then me now . In the garden - Nevin’s Barberry (Berberis nevinii) in bloom. Native to the inland valleys of Southern California, the Nevin’s Barberry is listed as endangered. It is threaten by, what else, habitat lose and urban development.
