Tonight I'm pouring out my favorite New Orleans whiskey, Irish Channel Small Batch Whiskey (Batch #2) from Seven Three Distilling (still waiting on that bourbon!) And smoking a New Orleans Cigar Factory Anniversary cigar while I listen to the lounge playlist from Kevin at Cuban Creations Cigar Bar, my favorite place to smoke when I'm in town. .... Seven Three Distilling says they make Spirits with a sense of place. It's fitting that I'm pouring their whiskey tonight in honor of a show and crew with a sense of place. Tonight I toast the best damn production team I've had the honor to work with these past seven years. Tonight NCIS: New Orleans calls wrap on shooting the final episode and I really wish I could be there to say goodbye to a team that has become family to me over the years despite the tiny part I played in the grand scheme of things. I always said you guys brought to some of the garden spots around that town from the river and lake to the bayous and neighborhoods I always had a good time and you always treated me and our crews like part of the family. So here's to all of you from the top down, to showrunners and the writing team, the cast, to the amazing directors, the AD team's, camera and grip team, the office crew, the art department, costumes, and the hardest working prop crew in the industry, the marine crews, and picture cars, and the photo crew, there are just too many of you to tag and name by name. Just got back from a week in the French Quarter in New Orleans where I spent an hour or two every day in one of the New Orleans Cigar Factories on Decatur smoking and watching. Here’re a few minutes of the action, with some of the key moves replayed and slowed down to help  get a clue what the heck’s going on. I got a lot of new ideas that I’m going to try in my own bunching and rolling. I really enjoyed the cigars and it was a treat to be able to see how the very sticks I was smoking were bunched and rolled.
