NSL: [An image of a scavenger.] NSL: Found another cute one! NMN: Ew NSL: Night… CQ: Lol. NSL: At some point you all have to admit they’re cute. NMN: No I don’t NSL: I’ll wear you down. Just you wait. NMN: Good luck u won’t win NSL: Thanks for the luck! CQ: Why do you even like them so much though silver. NSL: Why not? They’re cute! They’re clever! Have you noticed how intricate their social relationships can be? CQ: No lol i dont spend my time watching them. NSL: Was that an insult orrr. CQ: Nah i really just dont. Sometimes my overseers get feeds of them but i never pay attention. NSL: Can’t believe I’m outnumbered here. Back me up Innocence! UI: i dont think i can? NSL: Not you too! D: UI: they destroy my comms towers NMN: Wait srsly UI: yea they climb up there and take metal NMN: How tf NSL: See! They’re resourceful! That’s… not great though. I’ve never seen ours get that high up. NMN: Well we have a weird layout and all CQ: Ya maybe our placement prevents it? NSL: I dunno, they seem like they’d find a way regardless! UI: yea idk, but they can climb pretty fast NSL: Wow. You have to send me a feed of that at some point. UI: i can try, they really like killing my overseers NSL: Ugh, yeah, they do that. It makes getting photos of them difficult. NMN: Are u collecting pictures of them?? NSL: Yeah, and? NMN: Ok I can’t argue with that NSL: Hah! NSL: But really, they have a lot of variation, it’s incredible. Here, look. NSL: [An image of a brown scavenger.] NSL: These are the most common, but then you have some like these. NSL: [An image of a blue scavenger.] CQ: Wha. NMN: Wtf NSL: I don’t know how it works yet! It doesn’t seem like this has been extensively researched either. My current hypothesis is it’s a phenomenon similar to erythrism, but with blue pigment instead of red. NSL: There’s red ones too. NSL: [An image of a scarlet scavenger.] NSL: And it can get pretty intense! UI: how many have you documented? NSL: Quite a lot now! A few thousand pictures. They’re hard to study since they kill my overseers so much, but I’ve been trying to collect some genetic data from them so I can build a library of their genome. UI: i can send you pictures from my facility grounds NSL: Oh that’d be great, more variation is always better, thank you! CQ: I have to admit, youve actually got me interested now. NSL: See, Night? NMN: Nuh uh I am not falling for it NSL: Shame. In due time, Night. In due time. NMN: Never NSL: In due time!
