((Closed starter with wizzrobeking-the-average))
Fintan was checking off things on his clip board, making sure that everything was in order, when he spotted a sullen figure. “King? Is is that you?” he asked.

{They set up the shack and is ready for business. So if you need any supplies or equipment repairs talk to either Michael (repairs) or Jasper (supplies). Liz is running the rest area, bringing drinks and such for customers. They also have a help wanted sign up front, in case business gets packed with customers. “... So many people are looking at me. Why are they looking at me?
Can they see my scars? No, no, it’s gotta be my arms, they- mmh.
... I just need to shut up. Pretend they aren’t staring.”

Send me a ☼ for a Beach Party Starter
“Uh, sir? I I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you to move. You you’re kind of blocking the sun on the beach...” Fintan tried to explain.

“That was a long nap, but I’m so ready for this beach party now! Everyone, please enjoy the food. The tables with snacks is over there and the barbecue starts at 3 o’clock. Figured this would be more comfortable than a ‘Kiss the cook’ apron! Haha!”
((If anyone would still want to participate in the “Help transport the food!” mini prompt to get a request then go ahead!))

Beachside Braiding
Shelly hurried as fast as she could down the boardwalk, doing her best to push the large umbrella-topped cart in front of her. She knew it was around here somewhere, but where?...
Ah! There it is! If the larger-than-usual gathering of people along this stretch of beach wasn’t indication enough, the live music playing over loudspeakers and the smell of food cooking was more than enough to confirm it: This was the Koopital City Beach Party! Pausing in her rush a moment, the koopa surveyed the party before her. Dozens of people were already there having all sorts of fun, including some folks Shelly recognized as her usual clients! There were people playing volleyball, a large outdoor arena with a live performance going on... oh, and lots of folks just sunbathing or swimming, of course!
Shelly herself came dressed for the occasion, too. While there was no real need for a koopa to wear a swimsuit, what with the shell and all, she did her best to paint a tropical floral pattern onto her shell and wore a large, floppy sun hat to protect herself from the Angry Sun heat. Completing the ensemble was a seashell necklace and bracelet combo along with a pair of sandals - it was nice wearing open footwear again!
With confirmation that this was indeed the place, Shelly took a deep breath and carefully pushed the cart down onto the sand. This looked like it was going to be a fun time, of course, but she wanted to mix business with pleasure as much as possible, and she really hoped she would be able to hit the right balance of each. Once she scouted out a premium location on the sand, the stylist scooted the cart over and began to set up shop: A towel placed on the ground next to the cart with a high stool on top of it, positioned such that the umbrella provided shade for anyone sitting underneath it. She then reached into the cart and pulled out a tabletop mirror and a large bin of beads, along with a few other useful tools for braiding. If her previous vacations to locales like Isle Delfino were any indication (it was surprisingly hard to get her out of the salon for anything longer than a weekend getaway), people really liked these “Tropical Hair Braiding” kiosks, so this seemed like a good way to have fun using her talents at the party!
... And, of course, she also had all her usual hairstyling equipment in the cart, too. Just in case.
