Throwback: Sabar Serer Sabar in Dakar, Senegal with teacher Idy Faye and Con Diouf (hope I spelled that right) circa 2015. . . There are two types usually; Sabar Serer and Sabar Wolof. The difference being whether or not a Djembe is played generally. The Sabar comes from the Serer people in Senegal, these drums are used to communicate and are very loud! No wonder my ears were always left ringing. 😅 . . I've been digging up some footage and photos.
