Landen
Landen is a website builder for Startups which allows businesses to design, edit and publish responsive websites with absolutely no code. In addition to this, Landen hosts the site for the user, which makes it a fantastic way for SaaS businesses, mobile apps and other digital businesses looking for high quality websites and landing pages, to promote their products.
A few weeks ago, Chris encouraged us to consider using nocode tools (which I touched on in an earlier post) in the early stages of our processes to formulate our concepts into something we could hold on to. This forced us to start thinking about our brands and aspects such as content, colour palette and straplines - which proved a really useful exercise to get the ball rolling. Tools like this can also be used as effective methods to publicise our work and promote our products, so they'll be good to be proficient with when it comes to User Testing and networking.
The photos attached were what I came up with for my major project idea, which was originally named 'Well'. We can see from the screenshots above, where I began to consider the warm feel I wanted my colour palette to have, with the relaxing, calming purple and blue colours for sections such as Mindfulness and Sleep Efficiency.
It was through this exercise where we discussed how the original brand name I had chosen might be too general. Seeing the initial concept name through a website made it a bit more perceptable, which made me realise it didn't look right and this was where I began to develop my brand. This was also useful for forcing me to think about lifestyle areas I was going to target in the app and what the content and features within each section would be.
