Das war also Slott...

Nick Spencer ist nun schon seit einiger Zeit der neue Stammautor von “Amazing Spider-Man” und wird auch schon bald bei uns zu lesen sein, und allein schon das Wenige, was ich aus seinen ersten paar Heften weiß, bringt mich dazu ihm heiße Liebesbriefe schreiben zu wollen, denn er verschwendet keine Zeit und beginnt praktisch sofort all das wieder gut zu machen, was Dan Slott verbrochen hat, und so ist ASM zum ersten Mal seit “One More Day” auf einmal wieder lesbar. Ja, es gab immer wieder gute Zweitserien, zuletzt “Peter Parker: Spectacular Spider-Man”, aber durch Slotts unerträgliche Hauptserie konnten die Entwicklungen in diesen Serie selten etwas bewirken, da sie immer von Slott beachtet hätten werden müssen, was selten der Fall war.

Aber nun ist Slott endlich weg, und damit könnte Spider-Man endlich wieder einmal abseits von “Renew your Vows” Spaß machen.

Und da er nun anstelle von spiderphilen Lesern nun die von “Iron Man” und “Fantastic Four” quält, hier noch einmal eine extra kurzgehaltene Aufzählung aller Gründe, warum Dan Slott das Schrecklichste war, was Spider-Man jemals passiert ist, und ja, damit meine ich sogar noch schrecklicher als “Ich schließe einen Pakt mit den Teufel, der meine Ehe und mein zukünftiges Kind auslöscht um meine sterbende Tante zu retten”.

Wir erinnern uns, als es hieß das Ende der  nicht funktionierenden Webheads-Äre wäre gekommen und Dan Slott würde Stammautor werden, haben wir uns zunächst gefreut, weil wir 1. dachten ein Autor würde weniger Widersprüche bedeuten und 2. dem Trugschluss erlegen sind, dass Dan Slott einer der besseren Webheads wäre. Das begründete sich aber auf einen falschen Eindruck und der Tatsache, dass Slott sehr wohl gute Comics schreiben kann, auch gute Spider-Man-Comics, machte er doch mit der “Spider-Man/Fackel”-Miniserie von sich reden.

Doch schnell stellte sich heraus, dass Slott kein guter Spider-Man-Hauptautor ist. Im Gegenteil. Denn:

*) Slott weiß zwar, wie ein Peter und Spider-Man sein sollten (siehe als Beweisstück A etwa die originale “Renew your Vows”-Miniserie), will den Charakter und die Serie aber offensichtlich nicht so schreiben und hat es bevorzugt Spider-Man als Iron Man bzw. sogar eher Batman zu schreiben (also als reichen Geschäftsmann und Erfinder mit Gadgets anstellte von Superkräften)

*) Slott ist nicht gut darin oder interessiert daran den Soap-Teil der Serie zu schreiben. Romantische Beziehungen kommen praktisch aus dem Nichts, sind in ihren zarten Anfängen zu sehen, überspringen dann die tatsächliche Beziehung von der gerade mal gemeinsame Bettszenen zu sehen sind, und gehen dann unmotiviert in die Brüche. Die Mehrheit von der zwischenmenschlichen Interaktionen (und nicht nur den romantischen) passieren bei Slott Off-Panel. Dabei sind die Soap-Teile seit Stan Lee eigentlich sogar wichtiger als die Superheldenteile für die Serie.

*) Slotts Peter Parker ist der Post-One-More-Day-Peter, sprich Verantwortung ist ihm meistens fremd, seine Freunde sind ihm egal, seine Familie genauso, und kaum jemand darf wissen, dass er Spider-Man ist.

*) Slott interessiert sich eigentlich auch überhaupt nicht für Peter, er interessiert sich viel mehr für seine eigentliche Hauptperson: Otto Octavius.

*) Und das führt uns unweigerlich zu: Slott hat Peter ermordet und seinen Körper von Otto übernehmen lassen.

*) Otto hatte in diesem Körper Sex mit Anna Maria und sie damit unwissentlich zur Vergewaltigerin gemacht.

*) Peter musste trotz dieser Tatsache danach mit Anna Maria zusammen leben und arbeiten, weil nur sie wissen durfte, dass er Spider-Man ist.

*) Mary Jane ließ Peter vollkommen ooc im Stich, nachdem er ihr von der ganzen Geschichte erzählt hatte.

*) Vielleicht deswegen, weil Otto versucht hat sie in Peters Körper ins Bett zu kriegen, und als das nicht klappte, sich in der Dusche bei den Erinnerungen an Sex zwischen Peter und Mary Jane, einen runter holte.

*) Bleiben wir beim Thema wie ekelig Slott ist: Kaum hatte Peter seinen Körper wieder zurück, erhielt er einen asiatischen Kellerfall als Sexsklavin. (Ich kann mich nicht mehr erinnern, ob sie je Sex hatten, oder nicht, ich habe es verdrängt).

*) Die besagte Sexslavin wurde von Ezekiel zehn Jahre lang weggesperrt - zu ihrem eigenen Schutz und dann vergessen, nachdem er starb, was alles in Bezug auf Ezekiel sinnfrei machte - wenn die Braut so gefährlich ist, warum hat er dann nicht einfach sie an den Spinnengott geopfert, und wenn er sie wirklich mochte, wieso hat er dann nie daran gedacht jemanden davon zu erzählen, falls ihm etwas zustoßen sollte?

*) Die besagte Sexsklavin wurde dann eine Spinnenheldin, deren erstes Kostüm nicht als Netzflüssigkeit um ihren nackten Körper herum war.

*) Und dann war da noch der Moment als Nora gesagt hat Randy wäre  besser im Bett als andere Männer, weil er schwarz ist und damit einen größeren Penis hat.

*) Nach seinem Tod stalkte Otto Anna Maria in einen Roboterkörper.

*) Dann legte er sich einen neuen Köper zu: Einen Klon von Peter Parker mit leichten Veränderungen.

*) Peter behielt, nachdem er seinen Körper zurückhatte, sowohl den Doktortitel den Otto in seinem Körper gemacht hatte, als auch Parker Industries, die Firma, die Otto in seinen Körper gegründet hatte, und mit deren Mitteln Otto andere Schurken versklavte.

*) Weg vom Pervesen zurück zum eher Allgemeinen: Bevor Otto der bessere Spider-Man wurde wollte er 80% der Menschheit töten.

*) Dann tötete er Peter, zweimal.

*) Und Peter war der Böse, weil er seinen Körper zurückwollte, während Otto eine Operation durchführte, die nur er durchführen konnte, obwohl er eigentlich kein Chirurg ist.

*) Slott tötete Peter zu dessen 50. Geburtstag.

*) Und dann noch mal in “Spiderverse”, wo er den MC2-Peter in einer kurzen Story mit unzähligen Canon-Fehlern, umbrachte.

*) Slott tötete diverse langjährige Nebenfiguren, nur weil er einen Eindruck hinterlassen wollte, zuletzt SPOILER! Flash Thompson SPOILER ENDE.

*) Die meisten von ihnen brachte er aber selbst wieder und zwar als Klone.

*) Außer denen, die er schnell zuletzt umbrachte nur seinen Run irgendwie in die kollektive Erinnerung einzubrennen.

*) Er brachte allemöglichen Toten als Klone zurück, nur um sie noch mal umzubringen.

*) Er tötete Ashley Kafka wie nebenbei ohne zu wissen, dass sie jahrelang eine wichtige Figur war und John Jamesons ehemalige Verlobte, und das obwohl er zu der Zeit als das der Fall war Marvel-Redakteuer war.

*) Tatsächlich scheint er nichts aus der Vergangenheit zu wissen, was er nicht zufällig gelesen hat: Er kennt ja nicht mal den Inhalt vom “Buch Ezekiel”, wie die ganze Silk-Storyline zeigt (siehe oben).

*) Er ist einer dieser Autoren, die sich nicht für das interessieren, was ihre Kollegen gerade schreiben, obwohl seine Stories im selben Universum spielen wie die ihren.

*) Er ist gut darin Storylines aufzubauen, lässt sie dann aber in sich zusammenbrechen anstatt sie aufzulösen.

*) Er macht ständig Vorblenden auf Dinge, die dann nie passieren, und wenn doch dann ganz anders und mit anderen involvierten Personen.

*) Er weiß wenige Monate später offensichtlich nicht einmal mehr, was in seinen eigenen Geschichten passiert ist.

*) Er ließ Black Cat über Nacht böse werden, behauptete dann sie wäre immer böse gewesen (obwohl sie bei ihm selbst zuvor gut und In Character war), und erklärte diese Charakterentwicklung dann nie mehr und machte sie auch nie mehr rückgängig, das mussten andere übernehmen, nachdem klar wurde, dass er sie nicht mehr schreiben wollte.

*) Er führte Figuren ein oder brachte sie zurück, nur um dann auf sie zu vergessen und sie irgendwann ohne Grund wieder aus der Serie zu schreiben, da sie ihm offenbar zu langweilig geworden waren.

*) Er machte Black Cat zu einer Catwoman- und Norman Osborn zu einer Joker-Kopie (Stichwort: Geborgte Gesichter).

*) Er behauptete oft jemand wäre jemand anderer als er war, nur um später zu enthüllen, dass er in Wahrheit doch der war, der er war (siehe Goblin King).

*) Er begann “Big Time” mit dem Mord am Hobgoblin, nur um später zu enthüllen, dass sein Zwillingsbruder der war, der starb, da der aus irgendwelchen Gründen mit dem Hobgoblin-Kostüm hantierte als Phil ihn umbrachte.

*) Irgendwie passieren bei ihm alle wichtigen Dinge zweimal.

*) Und er log kleine Kinder auf Cons an. Was man einfach nicht tut, egal, was die Redaktion sagt.

Dan Slott war also ein perverser Autor mit schlechtem Gedächtnis, dem seine eigenen Stories und Charaktere immer wieder mal zu langweilig wurden, der alles doppelt machen musste, da er nicht genug Ideen für seine Hefte hatte, und der außerdem meint man solle einen Mann, der die Welt vernichten wollte und ein eiskalter Vergewaltiger ist, bewundern, nur weil er als Kind geschlagen wurde.

Danke Gott, dass er endlich Spider-Man aus seinen Klauen gelassen hat.

http://www.residenztheater.de/inszenierung/hexenjagd unter diesem Link (wo ich auch das Titelbild entnommen habe) kann man vorab einige Eindrücke zu dem Theaterstück “Die Hexenjagd” von Arthur Miller gewinnen.  Ich habe es vor circa zehn Tagen im Residenztheater München angeschaut und musste es tatsächlich erst einmal “sacken lassen”.  “Die Hexenjagd” beruht auf wahren Begebenheiten in der amerikanischen Stadt Salem. Mädchen werden im Wald beim Geisterbeschwören vom Dorfpfarrer erwischt, woraufhin einige in eine Art Schockstarre verfallen, was als Besessenheit ausgelegt wird. Was als Spaß ohne Folgen gedacht war, nutzen die Mädchen – allen voran Abigail – aus um mit den Bewohnern von Salem abzurechnen. Indem sie behaupten tatsächlich Hexen zu sein, wollen sie ihren Rachefeldzug umsetzen. Um “Buße zu tun” liefern sie weitere Personen aus, die angeblich mit dem Teufel im Bunde stehen. Abigail persönlich geht es darum, den Platz von John Proctors Ehefrau einzunehmen, da sie mit John vormalig eine Affäre hatte. Aus diesem Grund liefert sie Elizabeth Proctor dem Gericht aus. John bereut die Tat sehr und macht sie nicht öffentlich. Nach der Verhaftung seiner Frau zwingt er sein Hausmädchen Mary Warren, die auch zum Kreis der “Hexen” gehört, die Wahrheit zu sprechen. Diese gesteht (auch schriftlich), dass alles inszeniert war. Als sie dies aber vor dem Gericht bestätigen soll, will sie einer Strafe wegen der Verleumdung entgehen und bezichtigt stattdessen John Proctor einen Bund mit dem Teufel geschlossen zu haben. Dieser weiß jedoch, dass es sich hierbei ausschließlich um Abigails Rache aufgrund seines Ehebruchs handelt, was ihm aber keiner glauben will. Er hat die Möglichkeit einem Todesurteil zu entgehen, indem er gesteht, was aber eine Ehre unwiderruflich zerstören würde. Er möchte zwar sein Leben retten, aber als seine Frau wegen des Ehebruchs vor Gericht falsch aussagt, um ihn zu schützen, zerreißt er das Geständnis, woraufhin der Richter verkündet: „Hängt sie alle!“, womit das Stück endet.  Mir hat das Stück wirklich gut gefallen - vor allem der Anfang: Die Mädchen sitzen am Rande der Bühne und starren ins Publikum. Plötzlich lösen sie ihre Spannung und beginnen hysterisch zu kichern und beginnen sich gegenseitig auszuziehen – Black – die Mädchen kotzen – erneut Dunkelheit – die Mädchen sind blutverschmiert. Ein phänomenal (gruseliger) Einstieg! Während des ganzes Stücks singt immer wieder life Polly Lapkovskaja, die wie unbeteiligt die ganze Zeit in der hinteren Ecke der Bühne steht. Die verzerrten Silben bilden eine unheimliche Grundstimmung. Das Bühnenbild war sehr flexibel und durch herunter fahrbare Wände beliebig veränderbar. Unterteilt werden konnte es durch milchiges Plexiglas, das eine ganz besondere Stimmung erzeugte. Wirklich begeistert haben mich die Schauspieler, die das Stück (3h 15 Min mit einer Pause) unglaublich gut meisterten und überzeugende Charaktere ablieferten. Während mir einige schon aus früheren Vorstellungen bekannt waren (z.B. Norman Hacker und Thomas Lettow), möchte ich hier vor allem Michele Cuciuffo hervorheben, den ich in seiner Rolle als einfachen Bauern fast gar nicht wiedererkannt habe. Auch die Darstellerin der Abigail, Valery Tscheplanowa, brillierte trotz einer Knie-Verletzung.  Das Stück bekommt sieben von zehn Scheinwerfern von mir, weil es sich definitiv nicht um “leichte Kost” handelt und mit über drei Stunden für manche doch recht lang erscheinen mag. Mir hat es auf jeden Fall gefallen und ich würde es jedem weiterempfehlen, der sich auch nach dem Theaterbesuch (gedanklich) noch ein bisschen mit dem Stück beschäftigen und auseinandersetzen will.  Der Stoff - die Beeinflussung der Massen durch Angst - ist aktuell wie nie!
