a colleague of mine (around 36) was complaining about her husband not doing anything around the house and she told me “appreciate the time you have for yourself right now before you end up having to clean after a man”

i told her that i don’t fucking wanna have a husband or kids and she told me that everyone thinks like that when they’re young and that at some point ill also want a family

bitch you’re right maybe i will but honey i’m gay and gay marriage is so illegal in this goddamn country also i have trauma connected to marriage because of my parents and also i have so many things that i wanna do that i don’t even know how to fit into this short life. we are different honey, im not settling for this.

yes maybe i do want to have a family someday but i don’t want the thing that you call “a marriage”.
