#now I may not be an expert but that seems a view heavily informed by examinations of a very specific type of misogyny#without bringing much else into it#what kind of women get put on pedestals hm? are the women deemed not worthy of being put on pedestals#treated better? do they have more agency?#ntm there are many ways of stripping people of agency including extremely violent and large-scale ways#are these less effective than. um. a man putting a woman on a pedestal and declaring she can do no wrong#not that it's not dehumanizing. but. maybe a little narrowminded#to say it's the number ONE way#sorry to be so nitpicky about what they say they just say it with such utter confidence I want to be like um have you considered#that your experience is limited and you're not the experts on every form of oppression ever#not that I am either obvs they just irritate me#it's not a big issue and they probably don't even fully believe it but the things they say with utter conviction...#wot lb
