What she means: despite his enormous courage, bravery and boundless devotion which led him into battles which then turned into victories forged in blood, splinters and sweat, after years of being a loyal subject to the requirements of the service and without a shadow of a doubt a better and more thorough seaman any navy could wish for nor deserved, a patriot, warrior and a man of honour, all he meets in the end is having his name dragged through the mud, forfeit all rank and privileges within the Royal Navy, defenceless and disgraced taking the fall for a crime he didn't commit
