I mean... Absolving the royal family could end up being either good or bad.

It's sure to bring mixed results. On the one hand, no more monarchy, which definitely isn't a bad thing, as then no single asshole can claim their right to sh*t all over Hyrule just because of who they're descended from.

However, it also means that the next time something like this takes place in the future, it's more likely to be more of a Tetra situation in which it's very possible that Flora's successor might not be prepared to step up. (And, I know that it's not fair that these girls have to, but that's partially because their mothers never seem to be alive to do it instead.)

And, one downside is definitely the fact that this would add an extra element of inconsistency to things. Again, it's own mixed bag. Good part, future villains will have to do more research & planning in order to find her, as the obviousness of her role is likely part of why she's always targeted. Bad, when this does happen, the citizens of the land won't know who to turn to & rely on, which may cause unforseen issues down the line.
