The DCEU had an opportunity to overtake Marvel’s Cinematic Universe by focusing on making quality movies that were different from the campy schlock that the red brand was pushing out, but instead of directing their attention toward quality stories and content, they’ve also decided to jump in on the woke parade and will feature an openly gay Aqualad in the Aquamansequel, according to some reports.

                   he’s--- charming? at the moment avery’s head is pounding so much she can’t really remember what he’s like, let alone his name. but he’s been talking to her and getting her drinks, being nice--- enough that the general unease that twists up in her stomach when she’s alone with boys she doesn’t know is gone. amusement and--- something else are in its place instead. the other feeling is gratefulness, apparently, because the next time maybe charming boy walks around with a cup avery reaches up on her tiptoes to kiss him while he’s talking. she leans down after a moment, blinking as a wave of bafflement hits her. what had she?--- right. “thanks.” she takes the cup, smiling back up at him.

ever since the relocation and nearly losing nikolai to their own father charani had been finding themself waking up during the middle of the night, almost always having to catch their breath and stopping themself from panicking and waking alyx up. they didn’t know what it was--- because they didn’t get frightened. really. none the less it had happened again and, frustrated and worried they’d wake alyx up, charani had left their room to go stay with nik. even if he complained he wouldn’t kick them out. they knew the path to his room like the back of their hand, anyway, and jimmying the door open was easy. collapsing on the bed the necromancer made a half muffled noise of complaint, curling up.

it hadn’t yet hit them that this was aeterno, not vindex, and nikolai had progressed a year up. so there was no way nikolai still lived on the third floor.
