High-backed and hardwood, he’s rigid and tall. But he has just enough give that it doesn’t really disturb you if he creaks a little.

Varian couldn’t possibly describe the amount of anger he felt. Anger at the royals for betraying him, anger at the guards for arresting him- even anger at himself for being stupid enough to get caught.

It was too much for him to stand. To much for him to keep pent up anymore. So standing before the Captain of the Guard, he took it all out on him.

“I had no choice! You- you gave me no choice!” He snapped, barely being restrained by the two guards behind him. “Nobody- not a single person in this kingdom wants to help me! I had to do it myself!”

He gave a bitter, hysterical laugh.

“My father has been trapped in amber for three months. Did you hear me, Captain? Three months! And nobody cares except for ME!”

Rapunzel sat with her legs crossed on one side of the camp fire, eyes lightly glancing toward him over the flames.  It was warm, and it honestly felt nice now that the sun had gone down.  It may have been the only source of light in the dark, and she worried that it would have alerted stray walkers in the distance, but she didn’t hear anything.  If that time even came, then they’d have to deal with it.  But for now Rapunzel sat there in silence, taking his words into consideration.  To heart.  “Has that always been your philosophy, Captain?”

It was weird, pouring so much energy into being human again. Something he had discovered a while back and did it now and then to fill in the gap of being invisible to everyone but some select few children around the world. The word of ‘Jokul Frosti or Jack Frost.’ Honestly he…he didn’t mind as long as it meant he was believed in, even if it was maybe just a small group at best. But now he was walking among people again, he didn’t phase through them he bumped right into them! Well more so they did to him since it was busy and crowded, he could only feel a bit flushed in the face with embarrassment at the state of his clothes. Well it wasn’t like ghosts needed to change really, not like he could just buy some new clothes to fit in. Instead he simply moved around and then some until something caught his eye.

Sixth sense practically tingling against him as the wind herself whispered in his ear that he was being watched and he swiftly turned on his heel to see this...man in clad armor that screamed high position to him as he bit his lip for a good moment at realizing that the man was now fully focused on him and approaching as Jack gripped at his trusted staff, swiftly pulling the hood over his head and darted into the nearest alleyway to escape. He didn’t know what he had done but the young male was not about to let something terrible possibly happen!

      FIRST QUESTION TO CROSS HER MIND IMMEDIATELY is ‘what did fitzherbert do ?’ -- she was entirely willing to take the news to her grave  (  well, she’d tell her father eventually && she knew it’d get out somehow  )   but it seemed eugene had other plans. leave it to him to never be able to keep anything to himself. but it still curls a wave of anxiety through her -- always one to try to prove herself to her father && make him proud  (  was this particular monsoon of circumstances that hit her like a tonne of bricks -- leading to the pair officially dating -- going to make him proud ? she has doubts.  ). she knows she can’t lie to him -- he’d find out && she was never the best at lying directly.

Flynn sighed as he swung his feet on the piece of wood that apparently was meant to be a bed. Despite Corona being a beacon they didn’t do great beds for the kids. They weren’t even doubles! How was he supposed to stretch out if all his limbs touched the edges of the bed? Apparently some guard wanted to talk to him about the recent theft of the royal golden hairbrush that had once belonged to the lost Princess.

He wasn’t going to admit he took it because that was jail time he didn’t want. Again. The prison cells were just boring and at this point easy to get out of. He heard whoever it was enter and looked up at him. “I didn’t do it. Unless you have proof, this is just adults picking on orphan kids again. And that’s messed up. I could talk to the paper.”

Ever since that vampire Royal had escaped him at the docks, he’d been doing his best to avoid alerting any guards or anyone at all. But.. well, he’d been hauled in for an interrogation since he was a stranger in this kingdom who.. well, seemed like he was causing trouble.

“I am a Jaeger, and it’s my job to hunt vampires.” Yeah, let’s leave out the part about being a Sirius. He didn’t need that sort of attention right now, and he didn’t need to be lumped in with the other ‘monsters’. “I know it sounds crazy.. but you saw the bodies at the docks.”
