imo ppl should not be upset that Brendan Brisson got assigned to the AHL to start the season. first of all he is still just a little baby in prospect terms, this is not a diss on him to send him down there. his day in the bigs will come but it’s not at all unusual for a prospect of his age and experience to still not make the NHL right out of camp first year especially on a team constructed like the VGK are (veteran-heavy and in “win now” mode, as compared to rebuilding teams where it’s easier for youth to crack the lineup). second of all I think u may be forgetting that last year in his short stint in the AHL that boy was an absolute goddamn scoring menace in I swear to god like every game he played. he’s not stuck in the AHL, the rest of the AHL is stuck in there with him and that ridiculous shot he possesses. he’ll be fine. gonna have the time of his life terrorizing goalies and hanging out with kids his own age. anyway hit me up if you want tips for how to watch AHL games and follow the HSK team, i could do a post or something.
