Ok I bit the bullet and made an Ososan OC and his full name is Len Kanemaru.

He's the so-called perfect guy, pretty boy barista type turned up to 11, who might as well have manifested from thin air, who has genuine fanboys and fangirls, and most of the Matsunos want him fucking dead. He's oblivious to both of these aspects of the public opinion and seems kind of empty headed for the most part. He is also struggling just as badly as them but literally no one would believe him if he told them.

He also wants to kiss the oldest DESPITE the fact that his brothers are so jealous of him for being so perfect. Shenanigans ensue.

OK SO . Len is a guy trying his best to pretend to be an adult despite wanting to be anything but it. Unlike the Matsunos who dont pretend to be an adult and are anything but it, Len is trying to push through adult life while wanting to return to childhood when things were easier.

Sure he has a job as barista, but he's poor with money, spending it like he's still a teenager, struggles to maintain contact with people he’s befriended outside of work, DESPITE thinking people hating him is the end of the world, and surprisingly, still lives with his parents.

The thing is that he's REALLY good at pretending to have it all together. He has quite a few fanboys and fangirls and is often described as a prince. (It’s because of his charmingly good customer service skills that is his only real social experience post highschool.) But, despite being in his mid twenties, hes kind of poorly equipped socially and is unable to pick this up, despite it being clear to literally everyone.

(Like he thinks he’s being bad at pretending to be a well put together adult, and then turns around and can handle rush pretty well understaffed, not make any mistakes, and still keep a pleasant demeanor that his admirers swoon over. Anytime someone does act like a fan trying to get his love it’s met with confusion and just. “Huh.” more than anything. He doesn’t even reject them because he doesn’t realize so many people are in love with him)

This includes quite a few Matsunos who are jealous of him for being so popular (and admittedly kind of cool), find his princely yet oblivious attitude almost annoying, and somewhat creepy because of how much he knows about them from highschool. And those who aren't irritated by him are relatively apathetic towards him.

The only reason theyre so aware of him is the fact that he and Todomatsu worked at the same cafe before the latter quit. It was after he quit that Len properly met the sextuplets, having a chance encounter with the boys sometime after. Todomatsu was already irritated by him, by again, seeing above, but also because he already seemed intimately familiar with Totty during his highschool years.

It's like they had a whole classmate just manifest into being while skipping the "actually go to class together" part.

(They did actually go to school together but literally no one knew he existed during then. Not to their fault though, Len was basically that one vine that's like "I can't I have so much to do tomorrow" *fucks around on the keyboard. Because of that Len ended up being bad with people by the time he graduated and was ushered into the work force by his parents. As a result he can't really keep friends, often times contact dying off on accident. A lot of the time spent working is him TRYING his best to maintain relationships as an adult but it never really works out. Deep down Len wishes he could redo highschool, so he could not only get this skills but also find some memories that he so clearly missed out on. Because he willingly opted out of making those therefore other people don’t remember him. As far as he knows he hasn’t really had a friend since middle school.)

But like after the two and Totty's brothers encountered each other in public a whole bomb got dropped and nothing was the same.

Despite generally not liking him the Matsunos keep him around, mostly due to Totty's insistence saying they can use him (so they cant kill him yet!) but because Len is kind of bad with people in general outside of having a fandom (that, again, came with his customer service skills), and the Matsunos are the Matsunos, this never ever goes well.

Despite this and how much shenanigans the Matsunos end up dragging him into, he considers them friends since its the closest relationship he's maintained outside of his house. On top of that, he almost admires them for being NEETs. He's kind of ashamed of it, because he knows they have to be an adult, but because he's struggling so much as an adult, he wants nothing more than to be like them. He wants to stop being an adult and return to highschool.

It's why he takes to Osomatsu so much, since he seems most open about how shitty he is and how much he doesnt want to grow up. Like weirdly enough, his man-child behavior is what makes Len likes him so much. Sure he also has a big heart and loves his family, and Len can acknowledge Oso’s best aspects, but it’s the worst parts of him that loves.

And that admiration for having his character laid out flat and embracing his childishness despite his age and situation, how he practically will just grow up when he wants to rather than when he has to (unlike Len), makes the perfect man fall for the loser guy.

The more he hangs around the Matsunos the more they encourage him to tap into his evil side, and may end up making him worse, but for now he's Mr Perfect and most of them hate him for that. He doesn't get the message though so he's just kind of hanging around them for now.

EVAN!!!!! I don't know if this was ever asked but like, did Erina ever have a crush on Totoko back on HS? Does she still have a crush on Totoko!?!? OsoEriToto au?!?!?!? 🥺🥺

HI omg so highschool erina was definitely infatuated with totoko in a Not straight way… to say it was a crush is a little complicated but I think she definitely thought about it… but erina was like a loyal follower to her in her fan club and secretly wished to be like her because she’s pretty and perfect and everybody likes her… (but was crazy about it like wanted to cut her hair off and wear her skin and do rituals so Totoko’s essence can be rubbed off on her just a little bit) and she made gift baskets in the totoko fan club as something to do during the day.. made fellow totoko-Chan fan club member friends there… She wanted more to be Totoko rather than have fantasies about dating her, Totoko was a higher being to her.

Grown up and reconnected, erina still idolizes totoko even when knowing she’s actually not perfect, she probably admires her even more for being true to herself and still confident in her bad personality. Adult Erina quickly treats totoko normally and friendly, not totally putting her on a pedestal. Totoko grows more clingy to erina as a true friend since she doesn’t have a lot of genuine girl friends she doesn’t see as rivals. Totoko could develop a small crush on erina because she’s so supportive…

Both erina and totoko wish to be pampered like princesses by someone they love, them being together might clash a bit too much, esp with erina being a doormat and totoko being a steamroller. As much as i think it is cute, I don’t think it is in the cards for them, but there would be a clingy totoko wanting erina to herself rather than give her up to loser Osomatsu hehe, there are definitely osoeritoto moments.

Totoko does best with someone on her level… and erina can see that with nyaachan, and ships them 🫢💕

I think I'm done with them enough to post, so here's the playlists I made:

Mizuki's was harder to put together since I had to consider songs that match the way the present their self, and songs that match how they actually are and feel. (I fit songs that represent them, not things they'd really sing btw)

I kept adding and removing songs because I overthink a lot but the songs do fit them lyrically. Playlist is organized first with positive, energetic songs to match how they present their self. As it plays, the songs stay energetic but aren't as positive or optimistic and become aggressive lyrically, a lot of them somewhat being things Zuki would say to themself, Favorite Liar is a good example of this. Favorite Liar and Bitchboy are there mostly to fit with Akita as they grew up together, their tastes are pretty similar, except Mizuki changed a lot more which I'll explain eventually

The Flavor of a Cockroach is the song that I think really splits the playlist in half, the songs after that are more representative of Mizuki's true feelings and essentially them experiencing burnout, unable to keep up the act anymore. I don't wanna explain every song cause I think it'll be too much on one post but if you're curious, feel free to ask me I love answering questions.

Akita's playlist is also sorta messy but songs still all work for them. If I could use only The Oozes and Metric songs I probably would because they're perfect tone wise. Akita is very aggressive with their singing and has a hostile persona for their performances but as a person, they're blunt but very caring for others. They still occasionally pick fights like she and Mizuki did in their youth but she isn't as sadistic and see's brawls as pointless fun instead of a form of lashing out. (I gotta explain Akita for things to make sense cause I have never said a word about her despite thinking of her all the time)

Ugo is a song that's really about Akita's and Mizuki's relationship before Zuki split. The couple songs after that are things they'd sing but the lyrics are similar to the sorta story I have going on between Zuki and Akita. Akita was basically abandoned by Zuki when they were younger as they just disappeared one day and no one gave a shit about them gone except Akita. Mizuki left without saying a word and also avoided any form of contact from her as they convinced themself that she'd hate them for running. So Akita at some point joined a band and based some of the things they'd perform on actual feelings, and one day while traveling with the band to Japan, found Zuki (Mizuki actually found her and went to see her).

I'm skipping talking about Fahrradsattel and Wet for reasons. What You Waiting For? is where Akita and Mizuki meet again and Akita starts questioning why Zuki changed and seemingly became a nobody compared to the brutal fighter they once were, she doesn't understand why they became so different and hangout with people they'd both once considered weak and a waste of space (Akita is very harsh about things and immediately, she and the Matsus don't really like each other (and Totoko and Nyaachan very much despise her btw)).

Littlefang might be out of place there but it's a personal favorite of mind, I care about the song a lot and wanted to include it. It'd be a song Akita would perform (the actual character in this song is supposed to be a cat puppet but we're ignoring that for dog themed band reasons) the song as way of connecting with people ig, adding to the last songs, she doesn't wanna change herself to please others and wants others to believe it too (especially Mizuki). The song is very different from the bands usual thing but I like to think Mizuki's optimistic personality rubs off on her when she performs it and it ends up working out. (I just really like this song teehee <3)

I still don't wanna explain every song rn but if your curious about any choice, feel free to ask. I don't mind explaining story stuff and I like talking about these two dorks.

Totoko is disillusioned with him and also kind of hates Len because “he’s stealing all her admirers”. And also she thinks his open swooning over Osomatsu is REALLY gross. so she’s in the camp of planning his demise next to Cyber. But for now they’re kind of gossip buddies and catch up because he’s willing to give her attention and feeds into her desire for approval.

Len thinks they’re friends though. Because of course he does. Like he thinks Totoko is a bit abrasive and doesn’t like how… explosive she can be. but still he gossips with her whenever they encounter each other. He admittedly had a bit of a crush on her during highschool but after it fading in favor of just spending time in his room, and then getting out and seeing her be more destructive more openly he’s like. Ah. Okay. Whatever. I guess we’ll just be friends.

Iyami would be a mega hater of him too, because he’s like in the exact opposite situation he is (going from no one knowing him to being a star of the district, instead of the opposite) if it weren’t for the fact he almost . pities the guy. But then Len treated him with genuine kindness and helped him out once and so he has a higher opinion of him. Initial introductions be damned.

Len genuinely likes Iyami though. They got off on the wrong foot initially, since the Matsunos influenced him to call Iyami bitchless with a fuel heart during their first meeting, and he thinks Iyami’s still shady to this day. But like he doesn’t mind helping Iyami out since Iyami gives him a hand too. He’ll go along with Iyami’s shenanigans often and ends up being the fall guy a lot. But like no one’s ever mad at him because everyone loves himmmm. Because of this Iyami often gets to encourage Len to be a bit more evil and is also one of the people to get Len to stop being less of a “model adult” outwardly. Which Len genuinely appreciates.

Chibita’s kind of chill with him. He thinks he’s kind of like a wet dog but appreciates him whenever they do talk. They both give each other genuine advice. Plus Len brings more business to him with people wanting to eat where he’s eaten so he can’t complain too much.

Chibita’s stand is Len’s favorite place to drink though. He can often rely on Chibita whenever people swarm him too much to shoo them off and “drink somewhere else.” (Since Len won’t ever make them go away himself) Especially since he can rely on Len to actually pay (and he pays generously because of his poor money habits). He also appreciates Chibita’s from stopping him from. Spending too much though. Because no other bar or stand has really stopped him from spending as much as he can when he really gets started. Chibita’s place is like a safe space for him.

Nyaachan and Len are kind of besties. Like totoko introduced the two and they just kind of. Clicked instantly. So now they kind of hang out as akatsuka celebrities who look like autism creatures when out under the microscope. Plus Len is REALLY good with her daughter and her daughter always asks when they can see Len again. So Len ends up being a tertiary babysitter for her whenever Totoko and Dobusu are unavailable. He loves it though, he likes kids a lot :)

OUGHHH its weird bc I liked them all pretty equally in the beginning when getting back into ososan, I ended up reading reader insert fics with all of them just to absorb content… watching the anime though osomatsu is just soooo cute and honest— in the Just dont nyaachan episode of s3 I related sm to nyaa like oh god I would do that… I would be like omg he is sooo cutie funny silly goofy!!!

And then when I saw him under the couch being sooo nervous about going on a date seeing him SHY made my heart soooo tender.. And then was like oh no im in love with him aaueghfgg also I think we would get along the best bc I am attracted to funny… he is my sweetie
