Every so often he jabs at the flames with a poker or adds a fistful of kindling from an ornate rune engraved box with a sticky note peeling off it reading “OBTAIN money”. Soon he will release another batch of the most fuckable pieces of fabric in all creation that will sell out in seconds despite being impossibly released at 3am in every timezone. He turns his head ever so slightly, implacably regarding II, who lounges in a manner entirely discordant with the atmosphere, comically draped in gold chains, jewels, furs and a crown.

I have a lot of thoughts about Topaz and the IPC that this update has brought up again, but I'm going to wait until I actually finish the event and stuff before I post them.

For now, I'm just going to leave it at this; I genuinely believe that Topaz had the perfect set up to be Hoyo's best written, complex villain since Otto if she had been done properly. But their insistence on pretending that she's a good person and that there's literally anything good about what she tried to do to Belobog instantly ruined it, and the doubling down on her being 'good' and allowing her to have a good friendship with Trailblazer (while they're acting weirdly about Boothill for merely stealing things in his texts) is just making everything worse.

Still pisses me off that they removed the old currency and didn’t convert it to the new currency for anybody ($280k gone), and that now, instead of being able to choose what you wanna buy any time individually, everything is in the stupid catalog and you have to buy shit you don’t want first just to unlock availability for a certain item you do want.

It took completing most of the event tasks and 10 matches/rounds to unlock the first page of the event items catalog just for the first priest outfit. The second page costs 195 tokens. You only get 2 tokens per round. Dude. I am not playing 100 more fucking rounds to unlock page 2, nevermind page 3, and neither should anyone else. It’s scummy and unlike redbarrels. It’s disappointing to see. I loved this game once.

Building off this previous gepo post, any time he steals Gepard's wallet, Sampo keeps the cash for himself but he will sometimes sell or even auction off the wallet itself with whatever else is inside as a "mystery bag" sort of deal. Gepard has a lot of fans and admirers! Really, he would be stupid not to, it's easy money! They're probably the only legitimate items Sampo has ever sold.

It's usually just little things in there anyway. Pictures of Gepard and Serval together, to-do lists and reminders, punch cards for local shops. A few times there was a house key in there but Sampo hasn't seen it lately, which means blondie has wisened up and stopped keeping it in his wallet, good for him lol. There are rare occasions where Sampo can manage a much bigger haul, though.

in reference to that last thing i reblogged, i'm so fucking socialist every time i find myself pondering what i'd do if i won lottery or some shit (i've never bought a lottery ticket in my life and probably never will but it can be a fun daydream occasionally) my immediate instinct is to a) buy a house (completely reasonable), b) toss a large portion of the money to @ruewoo (hopefully enough so they could buy a house too), and c) throw the rest of the money (if there is any) to people who need it (friends & family, decent non-profits etc). like i'm keeping none of that shit for myself. the larger the sum i receive the less percentage of it i'd keep. i genuinely do not understand why rich people keep so much money like wtf you can help so many people??? unless it was a smaller amount i received like maybe $50,000 or something then i'm splitting it with rue and keeping it for bills/retirement etc to help ensure that i'm not gonna be suddenly thrown into severe poverty (reasonable thing to do - $25,000 NZD is not a lot, you could buy like. one car for that much, maybe two if you're going for a used car and you go real cheap). do i have a socialist instinct or am i just a reasonable person? both?
