as obsessed as i am with shauna’s insane level of grief, i would’ve really liked to see how jackie’s death affected everyone else. obviously she wasn’t really close with anyone but shauna (especially by the end), but they were still a team, they were a team for a long time. and this was the first death in the cabin group - aside from laura lee, though i don’t see that as a death they could have prevented. jackie, though. any one of them could’ve reached out to her that night and brought her inside the cabin. they could’ve saved her. we see by jackie’s “dream” as she’s dying that all she wanted was to be welcomed back into their circle and accepted and loved. i refuse to believe everyone is just over it in two months.
