Founded in 1905 by two vampires and two humans, the city was intended to grow into a green oasis in the desert but throughout the years had grown into the entertainment and gambling capital of the world we know today. Vegas is a city full of prosperity and that is happily shown to the rest of the world, but what the rest of the world doesn't know about is the fanged population that rules large portion of Viva Las Vegas.

While there have been struggles in the past among the two species, the humans and vampires now live in peace among each other to let their city of lights thrive in the best way possible. Or at least, they try.

When you have one specie that is the hunter and one that is the hunted, tensions are inevitable.

technically this is on the wc page, but it was mentioned in our discord that jeremy allen white would make a great sibling for oliver & riley. but members! let them know if you have any connections rolling around in your brain that aren't on the connections page! for species, jeremy could be a werewolf, vampire or dragon. I could see paul as witch or a human. gong could be a witch, fairy, or human. jenna for sure gives witch, dragon, or vampire vibes. and sabrina could be a human, witch, or fairy. as for most wanted, i know based on recent releases that jeremy allen white would definitely be wanted. i also love sabrina carpenter. so her too.

Much  like  the  rest  of  the  world,   Japan  has  developed  into  a  dystopian  society  where  the  line  between  humanity  and  technological  evolution  has  blurred.     A  once  thriving  competitive  market  has  consolidated  into  a  handful  of  mega-corporations,    railroading  consumers  into  an  obligatory  dependence  on  their  services  and  products.    A  corrupt  government  and  dirty,    selfish  politics  have  tacitly  divided  citizens  into  wealthy  and  destitute.    Providence  has  turned  evolutionary  eyes  to  the  skies  where  talks  of  colonizing  the  stars  overwhelm  the  violent  pleas  of  those  on  earth.

Closer  to  Heaven,  maybe  —  but  even  God’s  favorite  was  felled.

The  disparities  of  privilege  have  cleaved  apart  families,   friends,   and  cohorts,   creating  a  population  of  survivalist  singularities.    Many  have  been  forced  into  drug-pushing  gangs,   hustling  dirty  tech,   or  slinging  of  illicit  braintrips.    Crooked  law  enforcement  have  lost  their  grasp  on  crime,   instead  contracting  out  to  a  bounty  hunting  system.    And  the  cherry  on  top:   the  creation  of  artificial  humans,   called  Hosts,   made  to  serve  your  every  conceivable  need  —  for  a  price,   of  course.    Humans,  in  turn,   have  become  the  furthest  thing  from  human.

In  the  cracks  between  it  all  is  where  decadence,   sex,   and  pop  culture  converge  with  brutal  crime,   destitution,   and  the  unattainable  promise  of  The  Dream.

The  year  is  2044.    It’s  an  anarchic  world.    Where do you belong?

In  a  world  where  you  have  no  future,   what  truly  matters  is  what  you  can  control.    Many  modify  their  body  with  advanced  cybernetics  in  an  effort  to  merely  survive  or  fight  the  good  fight,   but  how  will  you  choose  to  live  free?    Among  the  cyber-enhanced  street  warriors,   tech-genius  netrunners,   &  corporate  lifehackers,   today  you  decide  the  direction  your  life  will  take.

After decades of the steady decline of birth rates reaching an all time low in the year of 2023, Japan opened its doors to people from all around the world in order to save its economy.  Under a new Expatriate Act, Japan has since accepted one million newcomers a year to fully offset the natural decline of its population due to deaths, which were running at  nearly  double the pace of births.  However, with a growing population, amoral leaders  &  technology, anarchy has soared as well  —  with most looking to create a name for themselves through chaos   &  purging of major corrupt corporations that intend to keep them under their heel. With the largest being the  Ichibangase  //.  Eisher Corporation  who have most law enforcement under their payroll,  there are plenty others in the shadow’s doing the devils work.  Who’s side are you on? &  are you only in it for the self glory or for the greater good of the people? It’s a dog eat dog world out here after all  ;  in the face of riches, freedom,  &  notoriety most would let the world go to hell.

NOWHERE is a 21+ roleplay group on discord, inspired by Courage the Cowardly Dog, R.L. Stine's Goosebumps and Fear Street series, cryptozoology, and monster lore of all kinds. We will rely heavily on writing threads that progress an endlessly advancing plot. Writers will be able to help progress the storyline with their own NPC's, member-driven events, monster drops, and the unique ability to showcase their monster-hunting and survival skills.

This roleplay will contain mature and dark themes, including monster/creature imagery some may not find suitable.

REFUGEFM PLOT DROP — PART ONE: TWO MEETINGS... 21st DECEMBER 1984.

It's supposed to be a nice evening. The copies of the daily prophet recieved this morning may put a dampner on it. How can one set aside their fear when they have just recieved news that things are getting worse and worse across the border, when they have just recieved news that their friends, or maybe even family members, are being held captive. As the sun goes down and night settles in across the country, a large portion of the magical community in Scotland gathers at the Morgana School for Magical Children. This plan has been in place for a long time now: it is Narcissa Black's second annual celebration of the Winter Solstice and the start of the Yule season. She is leading the students of the Morgana School, as well as their parents, in a celebration — and a beginner's astronomy lesson. The grounds of the Morgana School, at the old Black Manor somewhat close to Hogwarts, are beautiful and gleaming under the dark sky. Golden telescopes glint against magical lights, and the children are happy. Some of them are muggle born, some of them are half-bloods. The headmistress does not discriminate. They smile as they look up at the clear night sky. Inside the school, inside the house in a cozy drawing room — The Order of the Phoenix holds a tense meeting. So many of their members are being held captive by Tom Riddle — and no one can figure out exactly how they're supposed to save them. None of their spies can tell them where the prisoners are being held. Sirius Black insists that it isn't Azkaban, but they haven't been told exactly where the specific prison may be. Albus Dumbledore assures the Order that hope is not lost. Hope can never be lost, as long as brave men and women are willing to fight for justice. They will find a way to save their friends, they all vow, even if it is the last thing they do. They all just have to hope that the prisoners won't be killed before it's too late. 'We have to do it', people whisper, 'For Caradoc, for Peter, for Mary, for Edgar, for Gideon...' Meanwhile... on the other side of the border, a conspiracy of Death Eaters is afoot. They gather in dark clothing. Hooded. They have smiles on their faces and laughter in their lungs. They speak of the mission, of the purpse that Tom Riddle has given them. The glory of the world they are building. Their prisoners have given them precious clues, though against their will, about how they can hit Albus Dumbledore where it really hurts. They have a Yule celebration to attend, and they're going to be fashionably late...

PART TWO: AN ATTACK... 21st DECEMBER 1984.

The attention of the Order of the Phoenix is drawn away from their discussions when the laughter of children turns into screaming. Panic fills the air as dark cloaked figures apparate onto the grounds of the Morgana School. Parents scramble to get a hand on their child, to usher them away to safety. Narcissa Black and the other adults responsible for the event launch into action, fighting the Death Eaters to give the children time to escape. The Order joins the fight, and its a brutal one. Many are hurt before they manage to drive the Death Eaters away from the school and establish new wards to keep them out. The Death Eaters go easily enough at the end of the day. It seems like they wanted to send a message more than anything else: we can get to you anywhere, and we won't stop until we crush you, not even your children are safe in their schools. The cleanup takes hours, and there is a relief when the order learns that no children were harmed in the attack. The same can't be said for the parents and Order members who were hurt fighting off the Death Eaters. The atmosphere is tense, and almost frantic, but everyone knows that they won't stop fighting either, not until they have chased the dark away from the society they all love so much.

Welcome to our official opening plot drop!

This plot drop specifies events happening on the evening/night of the 21st of Decmeber, 1984. You can feel free to set your threads before or after this plot drop, as well as during. You can expect the Yule celebration to have gone on for 1-3 hours before the Death Eaters attack the Morgana School. Anyone playing a Death Eater can also set their threads during the covert Death Eater meeting before and after the attack. Any threads set specifically during or directly after/in response to this plot drop should be tagged appropriately to indicate that. The second plot drop for this roleplay will be posted early next week.
