Official Introduction
"Yeah, well, I flunked that. Try again next life."
Tsubasa is a veterinarian at Veludo Vets after their career in music went poorly. They are pessimistic and down-to-earth due to the experience of their failures. Though, at heart can still be pretty goofy and silly. Regardless, Tsubasa holds a fondness for art and literature, but especially music. Despite claiming on giving up, Tsubasa is prone to having ‘life-changing’ song ideas and writing them down. They’re often the normal half to someone else’s eccentricities, despite being eccentric themselves. For some reason, finds themselves to be popular and used to get love confessions in front of work often.
Trivia        - has a gem collection.        - allergic to shrimp. - can't drive... passenger princess
MANKAI – First Contact
Friends with Tsumugi and Tasuku throughout childhood before Tsubasa moved away to pursue music. Tsumugi and Tsubasa also dated once but it ended mutually and they’re more like an odd friend duo. They bumped into each other at a café and ended up chatting and catching each other up about their lives, in which Tsubasa insisted to help support Tsumugi with his acting dreams since their own dream got shattered (lol). Eventually, Tsubasa helps fill in for the lighting crew using their learned experience when studying music as well as stagecraft and has since helped when Mankai was understaffed or when their job allowed them.
HISTORY
Tsubasa when younger always wanted to study music, it was a large passion of theirs and they studied it through any means they could – self taught, a tutor – whatever they could get their hands on. When moving onwards through their education, an incident happened while Tsubasa was with their father. Their father was a travelling singer, moving his way through Japan to share his songs. This lead to a period of Tsubasa’s live where their family moved cities for quite a bit. However, on one of the lives Tsubasa was with their father and sister on, a staging accident happened and some of the set crumbled during the live, hitting their father on impact which eventually led to severe injuries and his death. Tsubasa despite the trauma, had tried everything to get onto the music scene, but no matter their best efforts they couldn’t get noticed due to only been seen for being their father’s child or not good enough. On their mother’s insistence, Tsubasa has been dissuaded from music and art-based careers, so they decided to pursue a career path to be able to help animals. They are, however, still very upset about not being able to have a chance to heal and follow their true passion, as they wanted to make their mother happy.
Tsubasa still holds a large collection of books, most of them given in secret from their sister. Despite not actively pursuing a career in music, Tsubasa still has them all and holds them all dear to their heart.
RELATIONSHIPS – CAST
Tasuku Both of them met each other through knowing Tsumugi and got on instantly, although Tsubasa isn’t really a theatre nerd, they do their best to try and understand and provide input and the conversations. Both used to go to the gym together when they were younger. Nowadays they exchange embarrassing stories about Tsumugi.
Tsumugi They both used to date but are now an odd pair of friends. Their romance started as people shipping them, so they were like “ok let’s do this” and it lasted exactly 3 weeks before they were like “this isn’t working out” and broke things off, though they stayed as close friends. Upon meeting again, they return to how things were. Tsubasa heard about everything Godza has done and has threatened to cause a ruckus at Godza numerous times, much to Tsumugi’s chagrin.
Homare GOODNESS. A silly pair for sure. They met when post-Tsubasa watching one of the Winter Troupe’s plays and was invited to join them for drinks. They instantly hit it off. They tend to talk about poetry together and both bond in their pursuit of art. Tsubasa is someone who’s kind of pent up, and Homare is someone who is good at lighting the atmosphere when needed. They bring each other balance.
Homare, along with Itaru, is someone who supports and encourages Tsubasa into the idea of producing music again. This encouragement eventually leads into them working on some music together, with Homare using his poetic ability to help Tsubasa weave together a story.
Hisoka Both have a big sweet tooth and get on well. Tsubasa often bribes Hisoka with sweets other than marshmallows. Hisoka gave a threatening shovel talk when Tsubasa gets together with Homare. They’ve gone to cat cafés together though.
Guy They originally don’t really talk much one on one, but they tend to look out for one another. Tsubasa eventually found out that Guy is into vinyl records so sometimes they sit and listen to music together in room 206.
Azuma They go drinking together sometimes. Tsubasa is insanely jealous of how pretty Azuma is and his general aesthetic, so sometimes they have girls nights (makeover nights) with Yuki and Azami also. They sometimes talk to Azuma about boy drama as if they’re his little sibling or something, leading them to be teasingly dubbed “little Azuma” at least once.
Chikage Not really friends, but Tsubasa finds his stories interesting and wants to know more meanwhile Chikage does his keeping to himself kinda thing. Mutually grossed out at each other’s eating habits (Chikage’s spicy food, and the weird combo’s Tsubasa thinks of).
Itaru Tsubasa has seen Taruchi’s streams before and usually listened to wind down after a stressful day at work, so was kind of flustered and embarrassed to encounter Itaru at the dorms and hear his voice. It was like a real life jumpscare for them. They, post clearing up that Tsubasa is kind of a fan, end up getting along. Both seem to enjoy kniround a lot even if Tsubasa isn’t much of a gamer. They sometimes feel bad for Itaru spending so much on snacks for others so surprises him with some themselves. They’ve bonded over magical girls and Miku, on telling him about their failed music career, Itaru suggested using Vocaloid to make songs.
Mother – A rocky relationship, they do not keep in contact and when they do it is passed messages on between them through Tsubasa’s sister, Chiharu. Tsubasa feels as if they’re blamed for their father’s incident.
Sister – Tsubasa and their sister, Chiharu, get along well and are often seen hanging out together. Despite being twins they try their best to look different so people can tell them apart, with Chiharu having an arguably more ‘fashionable’ aesthetic and Tsubasa wearing something their sister dubs as ‘extreme nerd’. Tsubasa is often teased a lot about their crush on Homare.
