i think up until like 7th grade ginger had really long hair because all 4 of her older siblings had longish hair and she idolized them so she wanted to look like them but when she was 12 he had an identity crisis and cut off all his hair and looked in the mirror and it was a bad haircut but it was a good ginger but then it grew it out when it started doing the whole "costumes and masks being puppeted by audience interpretation" shtick and medium hair lends itself better to playing multiple roles and long story short gingers identity is inexorably tied to other people in a manner most people would interpret as deserving of therapy but ginger doesnt believe in therapy because if you poke around in its brain you are clearly aiming to throw it in jail or something
