#oc: kazaya pryze

brand new mandalorian oc named kazaya pryze (pronounced “prize”)!!!

during the reign of the empire, kazaya relocated from the mandalore system to a small town on mapuzo. a less traditional mandalorian, he preferred to fight with beskar swords than blasters. around 16-15 bby, he found the jedi padawan jeff kovo (my other oc i posted before) and decided to give him a safe hiding spot in his village. there, he became jeff’s new master/mentor and continued his lightsaber training. he eventually passed down his clan colours to jeff, who put them in his new jedi robes.

oc spotlight 11 — kazaya pryze

kazaya is a human mandalorian who worked as an assassin for most of his life. he was non-traditional and had his thigh plates melted down to forge beskar swords, making him extremely ostracised in his childhood. he didn't really care, and left mandalore in search of a peaceful life.

he was a wanderer for many years until, in 19 BBY, he moved to mapuzo. the local non-imperial marshal, stari'aa'vi / riaavi, allowed him to move in on the condition that he used his mandalorian skills for good and not only became his deputy but also trained his young son ikada who was interested in learning combat. kazaya agreed to both conditions.

he also took on jeff kovo, who had escaped the empire there through the hidden path, as a second apprentice. he protected him from the second brother.

over time, he eventually saw ikada as his son, and fell in love with riaavi. by 2 BBY, when ikada wanted to leave mapuzo with jeff to become pirates, kazaya gave him his armour (minus his helmet)

day 16: biggest height diff — this was prob for couples but i just did tallest and shortest ocs. so there’s varm’ezara’rrumori/ mezarar and mika the jawa :)

day 22: oc with weapon of choice — landa vel and her modified lightsaber whip

day 24: oc cosplaying — ikada and amor as their inspirations, mihawk and shanks!

day 25: meme redraw — constantine and his adoptive daughter mika

day 26: crying — solo sozinho after finding out con is dead… meant to draw a more serious one but i was LAZY ♥️

day 27: doing their job — kevlar and being a pirate mercenary

day 29: family photo — clan pryze! jeff and ikada fought a lot as kids but ended up being close brothers as adults

oc spotlight 12 — stari'ka'da / ikada

ikada is a chiss pirate. as a child, he had a natural talent for sharpshooting, and his combat and shooting skills improved drastically once he became the apprentice of the mandalorian kazaya pryze. he grew so close to his mentor that he viewed him as a father before kazaya even married his father riaavi.

he initially had a rivalry with jeff kovo, competing to be kazaya's better apprentice. this rivalry died as they got older and he came to value jeff as his brother.

in 2 BBY, ikada's longstanding restlessness with the empire spurred him to become a pirate to take more direct action. he invited jeff, who agreed to be his swordsman. kazaya gave him his armour as protection, riaavi gave him his sword, and ikada and jeff set off to recruit members for the kada pirates.

gonna try doing these october OC prompts with sw ocs! probably gonna do a few of these at a time bc i definitely can’t remember to do one daily. to start it off!

1: favourite oc: constantine — i feel like this is kinda inevitable… a large portion of my sw ocs only exist because i loved constantine enough to develop a full history for him

2: first oc: renyn kress — the lil mando-robbing scoundrel was the first one i ever made for my cobb book!

3: newest oc: stari’aa’vi (core name riaavi)— riaavi is the marshal of a town on mapuzo that my mando oc kazaya pryze meets and agrees to work for, ultimately taking riaavi’s son as his apprentice and falling in love with riaavi!

oc spotlight 6 — degan adivo / second brother

degan adivo is a human mandalorian who joined the galactic republic as an inquisitor in the hopes of using his rank to protect his people from the empire. having never received formal jedi training before undergoing darth vader's training, degan's force abilities were not as strong as several other inquisitors. however, as a mandalorian, his combat skills were significantly better. his fighting style with his lightsaber was extremely aggressive which could overwhelm his opponents.

in 17 bby, he was sent to hunt down a padawan named jeff kovo who had sought refuge on mapuzo. there, he realised jeff was protected by the local deputy, a mandalorian named kazaya pryze who wielded two swords forged from beskar. coincidentally, their clans hailed from the same house. degan, not wanting to fight his own people, let jeff go.

oc spotlight 4 — jeff kovo

jeff kovo is a human jedi. rescued from order 66 by constantine and veraa valoraa, he was raised by them for 2 years until they had to part ways. he was given a cut segment from veraa's karlini silk shawl as protection, which he now wears around his belt and his wrists as gauntlets.

he was relocated to mapuzo by the hidden path where he was promised protection by a local marshal and deputy—a chiss marshal named stari'aa'vi / riaavi, and his mandalorian deputy kazaya pryze who took jeff on as an apprentice alongside riaavi's son, ikada. over time, he and ikada went from rivals to close brothers. he and kazaya fought off the second brother in 17 BBY. in 2 BBY, ikada invited jeff to join him as a pirate to terrorise the empire. he agreed, though he turned down the role of first mate and settled for being his adoptive brother's swordsman.
