oc spotlight 15 — kevlar

kevlar is a human mandalorian pirate. his parents were killed during the 19 BBY siege of mandalore and he was taken in by other mandalorians eva biela and sev kalova, who relocated all three of them to niamos. in 3 BBY, kevlar decided to set off and become a pirate, intending to seek adventure and cause trouble for imperials. he started the kevlar pirate gang and began to recruit members, later becoming the fierce rival of ikada, the captain of the kada pirates.

kevlar built up a reputation quickly as he remorselessly hijacked jobs from other pirate gangs. very little mattered to him more than his family, crew, and what he wanted.

oc spotlight 19 — nico calder

nico calder is a near-human pirate, the second mate of the kevlar pirate gang. he is the younger brother of spacer of ten years, and only knew him through stories from their parents. he believed spacer died when the jedi were declared traitors to the republic and went off on his own to become a smuggler by 19 BBY with a new dislike of the jedi as he blamed them for his brother's "death". in 2 BBY, he joined the kevlar pirate gang, a rival pirate crew to the kada pirates, but could not sense that spacer was his brother despite his own force-sensitivity.

spacer also initially mistook amor for him due to their striking resemblance, down to black wavy hair, tan skin, and brown eyes.
