This type of closeness was new - unfamiliar territory for one of the two, and it certainly wasn’t alchemist; it was frustrating, feeling as though there was no possible way to properly replicate what she was feeling in a capacity that wouldn’t be clumsy, or even understood by them.

What had purely been an offer to wash their hair had somehow become this - whom had kissed whom first? Did it matter? Was this even real, or just some strange dream that had managed to crawl from the depths of her unconscious?

The warmth of the water around them seem to pool between them, making that odd warmth between them increase, legs shifting to lock at the ankles at the small of xer back.

Like this, it seemed easier to breathe despite the harsh cold around them. This was the sort of weather they grew up with, after all. This kind of weather was nostalgic, not something to fear or avoid. Having Albedo there as well made the moment even sweeter, and a content sigh made its way past their lips. A white cloud of warm breath briefly intermingled with a snowflake or two, and then it was gone. How fleeting this moment was, almost futile...

And yet they couldn’t ignore the hand offered to them. Bright blue eyes, so often lacking light, suddenly gained a little extra spark of life. Getting to their feet, Childe placed their hand in the alchemist’s own and smiled, humming along to the tune. “I would be honored, princess.”

Given the nature of Dragonspine, Lumine shouldn't have been terribly surprised when the mountain seemingly decided it did not want them walking around in the caves. However, they had also forgotten how twisty-turny the inside of the caverns was until, in an ungraceful heap, they mountain landslide pushed the two of them down into one of the caves. Shaking their head a bit, their attention had immediately shifted to albedo, concern for the alchemist at the forefront of their mind until she heard their reassurances.

With a sigh, they nodded, "I'm okay, a little bruised maybe but...I'm certain it could have been worse." Looking them over once more, Lumine couldn't shake the feeling that was supposed to happen, though part of them was certain it was the general feeling of unease that Dragonspine created that had led to this paranoia. "Do you know the inside of this cave, or...are we lost?"

Such a tranquil day - the peace was so heavy in the air that it almost felt artificial in a way, too good to be true, and it had her somewhat on edge as she waited for fractures to form, for it all to give way and be exposed as nothing but a lie; but still…it persisted.

The sun warming the flowers, grass and earth beneath and around her, lightly perfuming the air, the breeze passing through her hair, and gently conducting the leaves and branches through melodies and harmonies, playing with the quiet background of rushing water…and the scratch of charcoal against vellum, the rays refracting off pale blond hair, jewel like eyes almost glowing in the warm light.

Kugane was a bustling city on most days, it was a busy port town with more merchants and vendors than one could count. Not only that, but it was especially good for travel, if one was willing to pay the Ruby Tithe, that is.

Tango had called the city home for over thirteen years and still he was shocked by how many people flooded the streets when the ships came in with their fine silks and fresh foods. But, and there was always a but, more people meant more business meant more money in his pocket. He wasn’t poor, no, but he would never turn his nose up at some easy coin.

So he stood, watching, waiting for someone interesting or perhaps suitably attractive enough to take by the arm and whisk them away to ... well ... whatever it was they wanted.

Within a short span he spots a man. A towering hunk of light horn and hair that marked him as a Rean of the Au Ra. How such an individual came to be in the midst of the streets of Kugane, Tango did not know. And it didn’t matter. All that mattered was finding out this man’s story and, perhaps, earning his coin.

“Hey there!” He calls, trying to keep his tone light and sultry but it’s hard to do so over the din of the crowd. He huffs, trying to move through the bodies to get to him, eventually grabbing onto his sleeve. Rude, yes, but effective. “What’s your name stranger?”

The blonde gave an unsure look to her and he sighed. It would be hard as he feared any sort of contact with others but he knew the younger Elezen was indeed a friend. "If you run at me...I'll try to catch you." he spoke as he braced himself just in case she wanted to try.

“Right!” That was confirmation enough for her! Alisaie grinned and darted behind Helios. If she was going to scale this mountain of a dragon-man, she would certainly need a running start!

She adjusted her rapier, pulling it behind her, then sprinted towards him. “Ready or not! Brace yourself!”

Alisaie jumped and came up short. Her arms wrapped around his hips instead of the waist, and her hands fumbled for the fabric of Helios’s vest. This could be a grave mistake.

“Help!!”

During one of his visits to the Warrior of Light and enjoying their discussions - something so simple and banal that he had not had the opportunity to do in almost a century - their exchange of words derived to initiation to one of the games from the Source: the Triple Triad.

Ardbert knew nothing about the rules, but being a player at heart, he enjoyed discovering them. The only difference being that he could not hold the cards in his hands because of his physical condition. But far from letting himself be defeated, he simply pointed to the card he wanted to play to Helios and the location on the board where he wanted to put it down.

"It's a funny game! And you say there are tournaments, right?"

it’d only been recently when chongyun learned of calx’ real name, and that albedo did not live terribly far. this makes chongyun slightly more willing to visit mondstadt, always with the excuse of ‘looking for spirits to vanquish’, as they tell their clan, but really, chongyun goes to watch albedo work.

so it’s no surprise that the confession is being blurted out without chongyun really thinking. (a little embarrassing, they would’ve rather confessed in a more professional setting).

“i can’t get enough of you.” ignoring the flush of their cheeks, chongyun presses a hand to their forehead. “i would like to kiss you over and over again. and...perhaps more.”

🐟 » what does your character’s voice sound like? do they tend to use wordy or simple vocabulary? I’m gonna cheat a little with the first half of this question. Regarding what Childe’s voice sounds like, the wonderful Griffin Burns is your answer. I’m a huge fan of his portrayal, and discounting the talent he puts into bringing Childe’s English voice to life would be a shame. As for the second half... it’s both, kinda? It depends on who they’re speaking to--like if they’re dealing with their younger siblings or other kids, for example, they use a very simple vocabulary. If dealing with other members of the Fatui? That’s when their sizeable vocabulary comes out...sometimes. It depends on their mood, really. 🧊 » what does your character first notice about another individual? It’s all about the body language. When meeting someone for the first time, or if they’re approaching someone by, say, walking up to them on the street or walking into a different room, Childe analyzes any visible body language as best as he can, much like reading an opponent’s mannerisms and stance. Their emotions, their intentions, the way they carry themselves--he’s got it all down in a matter of seconds, provided the other person isn’t a master of concealing such things. If they are, he picks up on that instead. 🌊 » how old does your character feel on the inside and why? The short answer is that it varies. The long answer...hurts.

Sometimes, they feel like someone old--ancient, even. They’ve died over and over, and as such, have lived countless lifetimes in that sense. They’ve seen things no mortal should ever have to see; crossed paths with and obtained powers that humans weren’t meant to wield. They’re battle-worn, but somehow still battle-hungry, as if they’ll never know when enough is enough because what they do know is that there is no end in sight. They’re a blade constantly kept sharp, a tense hair-trigger away from slicing into the next opponent, but such tension comes with a cost. A weapon can be polished and sharpened only so many times before it inevitably wears away. Inside, they’re so very tired, and they still don’t know when to quit.

Other times, either mercifully or tragically, they feel like a little kid again. They can run around and feel the sun on their face, laughing and smiling, and they can easily play with a group of kids and have fun doing so. Somewhere inside, their inner child always wants out, and it’s part of the reason they’re so good with kids in the first place. They never quite lost that little mischievous spark within. This is the mercy life has shown them. The tragedy that weighs them down in exchange, however, is that this same inner child, when not surrounded by kindred spirits...feels so alone. Their normal childhood ended the night they fell into the Abyss, and they never had a chance to finish growing up the same way as other children their age. That chance was taken from them, horrifically so--though they wouldn’t ever openly describe it that way now. Instead, they just internalize it and feel it, fighting off a sense of loss and abandonment that sometimes keeps them up at night when they aren’t tired enough to collapse into a dreamless sleep.

The blonde glanced around at the sound of the voice and he turned to find a miqo’te speaking. Green hues fell shut for a moment before opening again. “Are you speaking to me?” he asked. Of course the other was. No one else was around. Helios stood there baffled at what to say. “I’m simply passing through.”

Tango’s ear flickers as he smiles, blinking long lashes he emerges from the shadows, a swagger in his step. “Of course I’m talking to you,” He sweeps a hand in front of him, motioning to all the people who are not present. “Who else would I afford the time to speak with me?”
