the fact that wren even considered doing anything with kit was, frankly, a miracle in his eyes. wren was one of the hottest guys in town, and kit was... well,  and kit was frustrated, and horny, so whenever wren gave him the opportunity... he wasn’t exactly going to pass it up. their usual spot, at least in strawberry mall, was the single stall bathroom near the food court, where kit was currently pressing wren to the wall next to the sink, hands holding his face as they locked lips. the two of them were always a little bit fast, a little bit rough, but right now, a little high and a little hazy, he was just liking the feel of wren against him, of someone warm against him like this. he pulled back, leaning down to nip at wren’s neck and murmur, “do you think i smoked too much? i'm totally throwed.”

she had to pay wren in particular a visit the day after the party, and she did so with a small order of fries to bribe him. “good afternoon, wren,” she said as soon as she saw him in the radioshack, “i come bearing gifts.” once he was settled, she asked, “so, i heard some pretty disturbing rumors about someone using the ball pit like keith richards uses a waterbed.” kath raised an eyebrow at him, “care to comment?”

even though elsie’s boss kept reminding her she had to stay professional, which she’d explained many times meant no running out of the store at the sight of her friends, it was hard to help herself when it came to drew. as she saw the girl passing by the bath and body works, elsie perked up and sped towards her. “drew!” she shouted, before stopped herself where the store floor met the mall floor, arms windmilling almost cartoonishly. once she was sure she wouldn’t fall, however, elsie smiled right at her friend and waved, “hi, drew!”

once upon a time, wren had meant a great deal to anya. she could recall chasing after a group of shithead bullies who had beat the shit of out the pathetic whelp, eventually settling for pressing a piece of raw steak to his bruised face. he was the closest she had to a friend, if she was being honest, and over time, almost more than that. things had been tense between them since their brief attempt at a relationship (not that they called it that) in high school, and now, she had to pretend her heart didn’t ache with every rumor that went around “hey,” she was supposed to be on her break now, but was instead rearranging a display of vhs tapes, lingering for as long as she could “i heard some shit from blooth a few hours ago. about you, and- well, whoever. just, uh, be careful with fucking around here. we’ve already got one crew member with a public indecency charge.”
