i wanna say kohaku's "shinjiteru yo" (信じてるよ) is just the kohaai equivalent of leo's "kirei da na" (きれいだな) for izuleo
“i believe it" & "you're beautiful” or “isn't it beautiful”
OKAY OKAY HEAR ME OUT. it's mainly the delivery and the context that makes me connect the two because although they don't necessarily have the same, (or even similar) meanings they're both short lines that deliver a quick, meaningful message, and have this significant pause before, which is intended to catch attention and lead a response to the other character in question. while the comparisons between kohaku's "boku no me ni utsuru kimi wa kirei da" are much more obvious, i feel there is more of a relationship for these two due to external factors.
FIRST I want to draw it back to the fandom first because that’s a huge part of how the lines appear as (to give it that sense of similarity) and how you know they really have the same effect, although in completely different contexts. it’s One of Those Lines that the kohaai / izuleo fandom immediately went crazy over , upon hearing it in the cut. so even without explanation, clearly this is some line that holds significance to both ships and is being held in high regard towards their relationship.
To prove that these lines actually are relevant to the ships— mv framing has a nice part in it because the fact that it’s just leo in front of izumi for his line represents his delivery TO izumi, who is the only other character in scene. Notice also the background which lights up just specifically for them so their silhouette is more distinct. the mv obviously plays less of a role in the kohaai line (it's not part of the game cut) but you can tell it's evidently one to the other, seeing as the line right before it is a kohaai duet. just the clause 信じてるよ wouldn't make sense to not be part of a bigger subject. subject in question being the belief to understand each other… therefore establishing why the two lines are directed towards each respective person.

They both also express some sort of wish or longing. this is more evident in the mv for leo's line but it's pretty obvious for kohaku's just straight up (more on that later). きれいだな could be a statement. but. compiled with leo's smiling and bittersweet expression, i don't think its a stretch to say that this is more of a reminiscent type of line for him to demonstrate his… admittance of how he thinks izumi is someone beautiful(, isn't he?) with that nostalgic yet hopeful outlook of "maybe this is how we can succeed“ or thinking about how far they've already come and stating this ”awareness“ of the beauty of izumi.  i attempt to explain this with my lacking knowledge of izuleo:

then theres kohaku's line, expressing his and aira (together)'s wish to be able to finally reach over and cross that unseen barrier; to someday truly understand the other considering how closed-off kohaku usually is (not wanting to expose his tainted sides), it gives it a lot more impact when it's HIM believing in their ability to be truthful with each other in the future. it contrasts aira, who has already held on to that hope for a long time.
this was originally written in tumblr tags so apologizes for the weird formatting
