Golden Spike and Gold Bar Rim Trails travel up on the cliffs above Highway 191 and provide awesome views along the way. We did these last week right after Poison Spider. Golden Spike was busy with side by sides and a few other vehicles. We didn't see anyone else on Gold Bar Rim except for a few hardcore mountain bikers. . These trails tested our limits! They are obstacle, after hurdle, after challenge, after rocks, climbs, waterfalls, crevices, and drop-offs! That can be good or bad depending on your point of view. Don't attempt this in a stock vehicle or going solo. We did fine, but it would be very easy to get in a situation where you need help. They are rated 7-8 out of 10. That's about our limit without high potential for damage to the Jeep as well as mental and physical stress on ourselves.
