WAIT I FORGOT TO SAY i need to give you an update on my jake jacket 😌 ok so on saturday my yarn arrived. and the texture and look of it was sooo perfect. until i started crocheting w it. w the black thread too. and it turns out that the yarn is just way too fluffy that it hides pretty much all the thread. so i did lots of experimenting and i switched out the thread for embroidery thread. and it def showed up better but sometimes it looked a little thick. and then i shopped for embroidery thread cuz no way i have enough. and yeah its way out of my price range :’> sooo i bought lots of black thread and what im doing is layering it a bunch so that basically i have at least 8 pieces of black thread at once while i make the jacket if that makes sense? and so its basically embroidery thread for a much cheaper price. but its quite time consuming,, esp when the thread gets all tangled !!! 😠 but the things you have to do when you’re on a budget 🥹👍🏻 alsooo since the yarn is so fluffy,, you can’t even see the stitches 😭 like it’ll just look like a fluffy white panel, no shapes of the stitches at all 😭 which obv also makes it harder to crochet. so what i did was i swapped over to knitting it djdjdj and that is much easier. luckily you can’t even tell im not super good at knitting since you can’t even see the stitches anyways :D sjsjjs for the ribbing tho i found that the ribbed effect was most apparent w crochet. so i’ll crochet the ribbed parts and just knit the rest 😭 but yeah it’s not rlly looking like jake’s but it’s somewhat close so im pretty satisfied 😭
