Many will know the first part of the demonstration, Q2ID (Quark to InDesign) and PDF2DTP (PDF to InDesign). We will, in particular with PDF2DTP, show some cool things you can do to open multi-page PDF documents as new InDesign layouts. The meat of the video will be on our new “Markz” line of stand-alone applications. This will be highlighted with our newly available IDMarkz, which is an easy and effective way to preview, export and transition your InDesign files. Text on a curve - Illustrator to InDesign conversion the right way! Many Adobe Creative Cloud users need to get native Illustrator designs into Adobe InDesign. For instance, map makers often need to convert maps, charts and diagrams from a .ai Illustrator file to an InDesign page layout, based on customer requests or needs. Adobe way - Copy and Paste Illustrator content to InDesign That does not work well. Images or graphics get re-sized at times, but the biggest problem is the text. All text gets outlined or vectored! No live text! And although the text is on a curve or path, it is not editable, at all. Markzware OmniMarkz method Drag and drop your native Illustrator file onto OmniMarkz. Review the Preview and File Inventory and then simply click on the “Open in” InDesign icon. With a click, you convert Adobe Illustrator to InDesign! Most importantly, with graphics and images used at the correct size AND with LIVE text! And yes, you get text on a curve converted, ready to change font types or adjust sizes, leading or whatever it is you need to re-design or edit, now as a new .indd InDesign layout!
