the anti-tiktok takes are so boring like oh my god y'all sound like boomers i thought we weren't going to do the "social media is evil but this time it really is, you stupid teenagers don't know what you're doing" thing to the next generations bc we agreed that it's dumb
#win rambles#one of my most Controversial Tumblr User Opinions right here: tiktok isn't evil actually#it's right up there with me liking taylor swift#and just. idk liking things in general#'tiktok is poisoning your brain' oh just like video games? just like facebook? just like tumblr?#and yes i know evil algorithm surveillance anti capitalism etc etc but cloaking it in your progressive language doesnt change#the fact that it's still a really ignorant take that's just people trying to be superior and pretentious#like we're all online we're all being tracked and fed algorithms you're not better and smarter than teens who use tiktok you're just older#and i'm saying this as someone who doesn't use tiktok bc short video format is bad for my ND brain#and the way people say this with their entire chest on TUMBLR of all places#like congratulations you don't use tiktok? what do you want a fucking medal?
