President Joe Biden said Thursday that the risk of nuclear “Armageddon” is at the highest level since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, as Russian officials speak of the possibility of using tactical nuclear weapons after suffering massive setbacks in the eight-month invasion of Ukraine. Speaking at a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Biden said Russian President Vladimir Putin was “a guy I know fairly well” and the Russian leader was “not joking when he talks about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons.”

TSLA +4.68% Tesla Elon Musk, the company's chief executive, said that 3 million electric vehicles have already been produced by the company with around a third coming from its Giga plant in Shanghai. Congratulation to Giga Shanghai for creating the millionth car, Musk tweeted on Sunday. 

Over 3M Teslas have been made overall. Following recent increases in Tesla's reported deliveries, the best estimate of sales, Musk hailed the total number of vehicles on Sunday. Tesla Inc. has produced more than 3 million vehicles, and a third of them have been built in China, according to Elon Musk. 

Tesla said in July that it delivered 254,695 vehicles in the second quarter, up 26.5% over the same period the previous year. Tesla does benefit from strong demand, as Musk noted on Twitter on Sunday: "Production is a significantly bigger difficulty than demand" for the business. 

Tesla stock is down about 25% in 2022 as a result of investors reevaluating rapidly expanding businesses in light of inflation and macroeconomic worries. In addition to being embroiled in legal proceedings over his attempts to revoke a $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter, Musk sold nearly 7 million Tesla shares last week, valued at approximately $6.88 billion.
